  1. Yeah. Stage source is awesome. More power, size and price than I need for this though.
  2. Looks like this is the compromise in this Classic debate. http://line6.com/firehawk-fx-multi-effects-pedal/
  3. I've loved my fx100, but I've always know line 6 really didn't have live stage use in mind even though I've made it work. I've dreamed of the day they would give me dedicated banking switches and effect toggle switches. Looks like that time is at hand. Now just to figure out how to sell and buy! http://line6.com/firehawk-fx-multi-effects-pedal/
  4. The main use of my fx100 is to run into the pa at church. So I have my amp models dialed in nicely and very pleased with tone. From time to time I need to play in very small settings and there isn't a Pa to plug into. I don't really want to play through a guitar amp cause that limits you to the voicing of the amp and thus why I adopted amp modeling to start with. I really like the idea of the little Amplifi amps but it seems silly for me to buy one of those on top of my fx100. What I'm looking for is a powered full range speaker that is about the size and volume of the Amplifi amps, but something I can just plug into power and plug main out from the fx just like a do a pa. A speaker that gets loud enough for a small room and had enough range to reproduce the models. Any one have suggestions?
  5. Hold down on the little blocks in the chain that you normally use for delays and mods. They are the 2 before reverb. If you hold one down you see you can drag them to other positions in the chain. Let's say you pick on and drag it right before your amp. Now you have to effects you can set both as drive. So that could be up to 3 effects before the amp. Although of course you would lose all your spots for post amp effects. But 2 pre and 1 post should suite you.
  6. Yeah. The favorite thing seems to only relate to the context of your favorite for a specific song. So you have to set it as a fav from the screen where the tune is playing.
  7. I've had that happen. One thing to make sure. Make sure that the last time you saved that patch, you didn't have the expression pedal heel down. If so, the patch switch sets the volume to 0 even if you had the pedal toe down when you switched. You would have to bring the pedal all back and down again. Save the the patch with pedal toe down down. Not sure This is your culprit but it seems to be the case of my mysterious muted patch changes.
  8. Before the last firmware and iOS app update, you could modify a patch, hold down a button on the pedal and tap again to save. It kept the name of the patch. Now it replaces the name with "default". So now you have to retype the name. So basically trying to so a quick save from the pedal doesn't work unless you want all your patches to be named DEFUALT. You now have to initiate the save from the app. Which is a pain if you are playing and tweaking.
  9. Many many improvements suggested here. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/ideafactory.do?mode=top&discussionFilter=byids&discussionID=49863
  10. As a avid app person I'm kind of used to getting app updates with improvements on a pretty regular basis. Amplifi has not added any features or usability enhancements since May. Lots of room for improvements!! Thoughts?
  11. "near as anyone can tell, you cannot disable the Microphone Modeling on any of the Amplifi tones / patches" When you select "None" for both amp and cabinet it would disable the mic sim, right?
  12. Deleted app. Reset factory defaults. Seems to be working again.
  13. Updated to ios 8.0.2 and now I seem to be loosing BT between the app and pedal. It won't change tones on the pedal. It appears to download tones from the pedal but as soon as you select it the app gives you "error loading tones (memory address) Anyone else?
  14. Most of the topics only apply to the 75/150 and not the 100. Can the 100 be put into a sep community?
  15. It did have some bugs but line 6 released v1.30 which fixed them
  16. Realized today I couldn't edit the tone. Read the sticky on iOS 8. When do you expect Apple to post it? What version will it be?
  17. I'm pretty sure the answer is no because I'm guessing the sound processing is in the pedal. But...does anyone know if you can get garageband ios to accept amplifi output as a input for recording (I mean app to app not running a line from the pedal to another ios device$
  18. I used my new fx100 at church this weekend. Ioved it. I was using a POD XT LIVE. I loved being able modify on the fly. Tones sounded great including some that it "matched" for the songs I was playing. It sounds as good as the XT. I don't have an HD so can't compare to that.
  19. This was kind of answers here http://line6.com/support/topic/7988-bank-switching/?do=findComment&comment=56586
  20. Thanks for the reply Triryce. I'll take a look. Typically I use the same time, but since I was just trying out the pedal I prolly had them set as diff times.
  21. Listening with stereo headphones plugged into the headphone jack. When switching between certain patches you get a very short spacey/ flangy sound if you still had feed from the guitar when you clicked. My XTLIVE never had this. In don't know how noticeable it will be live or if it shows up in the "left/mono" out going to the house. Guess I will find out this weekend Any ideas?
  22. Trying to migrate my live playing from PODXTLive to fx100. The 100 has a ton of potential, but they are going to have keep the updates coming. Trying to get used to the more compact pedal that doesn't have the second row of controls for toggling certain params. On the XTLive one bank can really do it for you because for any single tone/patch (eg patch A) you can toggle a delay, mod, compressor. So for the fx100 I was wondering what the best method is. For sure you can create the diff patches (eg: Amp 1 w/delay, Amp1 wo/delay, Amp 1w/chorus etc.) of course you see they permutations eat up a lot of patches and banks. Worse is how painful banking is on the fx100 Seems like there would be some way to make a toggle on a patch. On the iPad I could use the "editor" to toggle the power switch on the mod or delay I have. But of course this means taking my hands off the guitar. No problem between songs, but a little tricky in the middle. I know the pedal is short on buttons, but you could set the patch button to toggle a specific param when you select it a second time. For exAmple clicking "A" the first time switches to patch A which is set to mod off. Clicking it again would toggle designated mod on. Or you could choose to give up the "tap" switch and use it for a param toggle. Anyone out there have some suggestions?
  23. Thanks for confirming. Seems like a small change given how well they have done getting the app and pedal to work. As a software developer I know "small changes" don't always end up being "small". Hopefully they agree to look at this. It is kind of a downer if you want to go live with it as is.
  24. When selecting a patch from the app I want it to switch to that bank and select that A B C D. Banking a long was (like 5 to 20) is a pain with the two button way. Scrolling with the app is fast but if you want to use the pedal for another patch in that bank area (I group things together) you are back where you stared.
