  1. Hey Power User, I can't seem to find the link you provided in your earlier post. Can you resend? Thanks
  2. What i have found is that if you build a preset in the POD with ALL you effects (volume pedal,Wah, etc etc etc etc.) and simply plug the guitar into the POD and then take the left output of the POD and plug into the effects Return of your amp YOU"RE GOOD TO GO!!!. By plugging into the Effects Return of your amp you are bypassing the pre-amp stage of your amp and using the POD's Preamp Models. (Which are better than 'pretty good') So essentially you can have the following: Preset 1 - Plexi (Incubus, ACDC, Classic Rock), Preset 2 - JCM800 (80's Rock), Preset 3 - Treadplate (Megadeath), Preset 4 - Blackface, Tweed, Vox, Hiwatt (Tom Petty etc) I have found that this way i get to use my POD 's tones more accurately while covering tunes ranging from Tom Petty to Megadeth. Just make sure when building your tones you build them at GIG VOLUME. This is important. you can always turn down and adjust general tone with an EQ. (I use a Mesa Boogie Mark IV, so i have an EQ on my amp, but you can use an EQ pedal also and get the same result) I also use my POD with the 4CM also but when i remember how i set it up i will post those settings. But i think someone covered that above already. I think the 'Effects Return' Method is more versatile. My 2cents
  3. I could have SWORN it uploaded... When i get home from work later this evening i'll get it sorted. SMH
  4. Not sure if anyone would need this but here it is anyway. When i got my POD (being a first time user) i thought it would be a good idea to back up the factory presets in case i did some DUMB lollipop...
  5. Hi Everyone, Does anyone have a patch for "Smashing Pumpkins - Zero" for the POD HD500x I need theRhythm and solo patch. I've tried to do this and failed miserably... Ended up with a total pitch shifting MESS... Can anyone help? Regards, Hickdood

  8. Sorry for the NUBE question... When you purchase the Amp model pack do you get the 'Pre Amp' versions of the full amp models also? Regards, Hick dood
  9. Hi Guys I have received A LOT OF HELP from a number of members (DunedinDragon, Cruisinon2, redmonda) and to you i say... THANK YOU... I think i'm making some headway with this thing and I have attached a JPG of how i have decided to run my pedal board. I am using a Gibson Les Paul into a Mesa Boogie Mark IV and i'm using the 4CM or sometimes i will just plug my POD into the effects return of my amp and bypass the pre amp section depending on the gig. I think this is one of the easiest ways to get a consistent tone for whatever sound your trying to get. I would set banks ABCD to whatever pre amp i feel like playing that day (I ONLY USE THE "PRE AMP" MODELS if i'm gonna go into my Mark IV TUBE AMP.) A- Blacface 'Lux. B- Tweed B Man, C- JCM800 or Plexi 100. D- Treadplate I use FS 1234 as standard pedals to stomp on or off as i see fit FS1- Screamer FS2- Chorous FS3- Delay -short FS4- I have left blank so i can assign any pedal i need/want for specciffic tones like a V-troUnivibe, since i dont use regularly FS5- Tube Drive FS6- Phaser FS7- Delay - long FS8- Solo boost (i use a jumper cable from the POD's Effectls return and send and set the Return level to 6 or 10 DB. (It's like a clean boost) So on any given day if the band i am playing with is a blusey kinda band, I'll use the Blackface or Tweed amp and if i'm playing metal i'll use the Treadplate or JCM 800 bank I hope this helps someone. If anyone has any questions just drop me a note.
  10. I Think i'm getting somewhere with this

  11. I am thinking of ways to use my Line 6 POD HD500x in a Live setting. My plan is to split the foot switches. Use 1-4: for the Clean effects. Chorus, Delay, Reverb etc. Use 5-7: for the Distortion/Overdrive effects. i don't really need many foot switches for effects because i like my distortion/overdrive as pure as can be, so i only need 2 or 3 spaces for effects such as: Reverb, Solo Boost etc. Footswitch 8: I can designate as an amp switcher to switch between my clean and my Distortion/Overdrive amps. Does this make any sense to anyone (see Jpg)?
