  1. Nice song Paolo! Great tones. Good vibe. Had me tapping my toe. I love the new Marshall as well. I'm very pleased with the 2.0 update. Keep rockin'
  2. Indeed. Glenn is truly a stand up guy. He is one of the nicest people on the whole internet and that's no small accomplishment! I'm pretty sure I have all, if not most, of his HD500x and Helix tones and they mostly sounded great out of the chute. I did have to tweak some others. Someone mentioned adjusting low and high pass filters. This is an excellent place to start. I try to start in the ballpark of 120 Hz for low cut and 6kHz for high cut. Hope that helps and good luck!
  3. Wow thanks. That took a lot of work I'm sure. I can't wait to try them out.
  4. If you do gig with this rig tonight please make sure to update on how it went. It seems like a very good idea. I haven't thought about it but I think I'll break out my old Marshall 50/50 power amp and plug it into a couple Marshall and/or Fender cabs and see what it sounds like. The power amp shouldn't add any tone fluctuations at all as it's just a pure solid state stereo amp. The cabinet choices is where I think I'll hear the difference. I really do appreciate the portability of my FRFR powered speakers tho.
  5. Got it! Thanks so much Chris. Now I've just got to figure out how facebook works. I've been actively avoiding it but I've finally succumbed.
  6. Awesome tones Chris. Thanks. How do I sign up for your Facebook group? I just joined facebook specifically for your Helix group on there. Thanks
  7. Happy freeking birthday dude!!!!! I love your vids and your preset packages. Keep up the awesome work! You are very much appreciated.
  8. Thanks for the link to the Designing Sound article. It was definitely a good read.
  9. That is incredibly spot on. I'm a very solid 1 and am in a band with someone closer to a 2 but even he is starting to come around and is thinking the Helix is sounding fantastic next to and blended with his old-school analog tube amp-->cable-->guitar signal chain. We're kinda like the best of both worlds. While I do own and appreciate all my classic tube amps and stomp box pedal board gear, nowadays, being in the 40+ crowd, my back certainly appreciates the ease-of-use and transport of my Helix set up. (And my HD500x before that). Great post.
  10. Wow, thanks so much for sharing! Can't wait to give them a try.

I just picked up his Snapshot Package yesterday and he hit it out of the park yet again. He is consistently putting out high-quality presets and is a great guy as well. His patches are great just as they are and they're also good for jumping-off points for tweaking. Thanks Glenn and please keep them coming!
  12. I just found out that my Boss FV-500L volume/expression pedal works very well with the Helix. Especially with the 2.0 firmware update. I had to reverse the polarity in Global Settings and it works like a charm. It's a great over sized pedal with extremely smooth operation and feel. It has adjustable torque as well. Just wanted to add my $0.02. Link ro product page: http://www.bossus.com/products/fv-500h_500l/
