  1. I had the same problem with my JTV-59. the problem was intermittent with no clues as to why or when the issue would materialize. since I had only just received the instrument from Sweetwater, they promptly emailed me a return shipping label and sent me a replacement that same week. so far no issues with the replacement. best of luck to you in getting your repair/replacement soon. cheers.
  2. There are actually two ways to switch between channel A and channel B using the HD500 via the Link6 interface. The first is to assign a footwitch to enable / disable the amp model block in your HD500 signal chain. Hitting the footswitch will turn off the HD500 amp model and switch the DT to channel B. When you re-enable the HD500 amp model, the DT will switch back to channel A. The second way is to set one of the footswitches to send a MIDI CC message 66 with any value 0-127 to the DT amp. This will toggle between channel A and channel B. Alternatively you can send a MIDI CC message 19 with a value between 0 and 63 to select channel A, or a value of 64-127 to select channel B. Cheers.
  3. I prefer using the hd500 channel A @ center while muting channel B except for a couple of patches in which I blend discrete channel A & B amp models. IMHO, it really comes down to a matter of personal preference. A beautiful thing about the hd500 is the flexibility it provides. Unfortunately that flexibility can sometimes be overwhelming and slow the creative process through analysis paralysis. When I get bogged down scrolling through option after option, I try to remember that there is no wrong answer as long as it sounds and feels right. cheers.
