  1. I tried all reverb but I get the dsp warning. Will try the delay and see if it works.
  2. I'm migrating my existing tones to using dual cabs. I can't fit a reverb after adding the second amp cab. Maybe a delay will do the trick? I primarily use plate reverb with just a light touch and a mix of 15% so the sound won't sound 'too in my face'. Help.
  3. 1. Yes. The effects loop, if used only the mono return, will sum your signal to mono. 2. Also yes. Placing the reverb after the fx loop block will make your signal stereo again.
  4. I guess you're right with Line 6 showing the stereo function of the unit. When I first got my own unit about a year ago, I always used the 1/4" into a DI. But I think if you have like reverb effect at the end of the chain, there would be no or very little audible difference when using one XLR instead of the mono summing 1/4" output. Nowadays I only use one XLR output from the unit itself because I moved to doing the dual cab technique which greatly improved my direct tone. I tend to put a noise gate with neutral settings at the very end of the chain to force the signal to mono. You can do this too to your single amp patches, that is if you still have one effect block left to use.
  5. I want to simulate the exp2 like having a treble bleed on the guitar. I have no effect slot left for a volume pedal and my signal chain always starts with a screamer with drive at 0%, eq and tone almost neutral, and output at 100%. Does the output parameter change the overall tone of the tube screamer effect? I don't have my POD at the moment but I'm planning to assign the output param to exp2.
  6. I want the effect of a guitar with a treble bleed mod so the amp would clean up nicely. If it affects the tone, maybe a work around is to put an eq before the amp model and control the eq gain using the volume knob?
  7. Is this works like a regular volume knob where the tone becomes muffled when rolled off? Or does it only reduce the overall volume of the signal but the tone is unaltered?
  8. So I assume this unit can have any effects at any order just like POD HD unlike Amplifi where some blocks are fixed, right?
  9. My bad. Maybe I should have not expected much. Anyways, the addition of the global EQ is great. Great job Line 6.
  10. Oh. That sucks. I thought I could get rid of two EQ effects in my patches and use the global EQ instead. This EQ SHOULD have the option to be by preset or global, like the Guitar-Z.
  11. So basically this Firehawk is POD HD minus some pre-HD amps, dual amps, mic and aux input, L6 link, LCD screen, looper, and MIDI? ANd how many effect blocks per patch?
  12. I'm just wondering if this M series is not EOL. I'm planning to get one M13 unit. sucks if a new lineup of products show up at NAMM '15. Oh well
  13. I would wish for a 4 band parametric EQ effect just like in X3L. It bums me out to have my signal chain waste 4 blocks of parametric EQs, unlike the X3L which only takes one block for the effect.
  14. What is the equivalent of dark hall in pod hd?
  15. It's OK, no worries. :) What mono effect can I use that won't change my tone?
  16. I tried it again just to be sure. Recorded the left and right, and it seems that they aren't identical. I can really hear the stereo effect of the delay and the reverb. If I flip the 'sum to mono' switch on the recorded track in the DAW, I hear a 'mono-ized' tone.
  17. I used to use a stock Washburn HSH bought from the 90s (not mine). The guitar sounds good through the spider iii amp, but when I use it with the POD HD, it seems that the sound is too ice pick-y. I can't even use the full amp models because the fizz is unbearable. I exclusively used the pre amp models with that guitar. The guitar was once submerged to floodwater. Surprisingly, the pickups still worked. Maybe the pickups are the reason why the POD HD hates it.
  18. I've adjusted my patches to have the mixer at the very end of the chain. I panned path A and B to 0% and muted the path B. Tried recording the sound on my DAW, the delay and reverb sound is still stereo.
  19. Technically my signal chain is stereo because of the delay and the reverb effects. So I use one 1/4 inch output because as far as I know, the pod will sum the left and right to mono. I'm concerned that my tone might change because the other side of the stereo effect from the delay and reverb is not summed if one XLR output is used.
  20. My patches are set up in only in path A and the other path is just a null amp block. Now, I have been using one 1/4 inch output to a DI box for connecting direct to PA as I want my signal to be mono. I am aware that the XLR does not sum the left and right to mono. But for the sake of removing the DI box from my setup, will I lose the other half of the reverb and delay effect if I use the one XLR output instead? The typical signal chain for my patches are Path A: wah -> dist -> dist -> amp -> eq -> eq -> delay -> delay -> reverb Path B: null amp Panning L: 0% Panning R: 0% Thanks.
  21. Mine just hums so bad when connected to my laptop. Maybe my laptop power source is causing it.
