  1. It's really frustrating. I don't even know if the mid-focus EQ in the M9 will behave the same way. I'm using the mid-focus EQ as a low pass filter at around 10k because some of the amps are just so fizzy.
  2. Will it help if I use the full models of the amp instead of pre and tweak the DEP? I cannot add a compressor as my effect blocks are all used already.
  3. I already read those threads. What I need is a solution that won't require additional equipment. It seems like the PoD HD always sends program change message..
  4. I noticed that the factory presets are also set for -12dB level.. But isn't it too quiet?
  5. If I may ask, if you ever have your POD connected to your DAW via USB while tweaking, what dB level do you set your patches?
  6. I'm confused. What do you mean by "the last button"?
  7. I want to hook a M9 to my POD HD via MIDI to control the tap tempo of M9 via POD HD tap button. However I don't want the POD HD to send MIDI program change to M9. I basically have one delay setting across all my patches so the M9 has my delay setting. Thoughts anyone?
  8. I just did this on one of my patches. I managed to dial the amp at almost -12dB level. However, the sound is not full compared to when the post amp effects are after the mixer. I cranked the mixer +9dB but it doesn't sound the same. Less thump or bass, or whatever. Less low punch I guess. My setting is input 1 guitar, input 2 variax. Any thoughts?
  9. You can map the expression pedal to control some parameters of your effect. Highlight the effect you want to be controlled with the expression pedal and double press the Move button. Then from the display you will see from the LCD, you can assign your effects' params to the expression pedal.
  10. Your English is fine. It's not my native language too. You're OK, as long as people understand what you are saying. Well for that matter, I suggest you use the POD HD Edit application. I really don't like to do a long tweaking session with my POD using the controls on the unit itself and looking on the tiny LCD display. I prefer to create my patches with the POD HD Edit.
  11. Does the -12dB as reported in the DAW equate to the same dB level when I crank the master volume all the way up? I'll be hooking the output of the POD to the input of the M9. I'll use the FX loop to put my distortion pedals in pre position and use the M9 for my delays and reverb.
  12. Try assigning the channel volume parameter of the amp to the expression pedal. Set the maximum value to the value of your channel volume and minimum 0%. I really just use the volume pedal effect on my swells patch. My normal patches (clean, crunch, overdrive) has the channel volume mapped to the EXP2. Whenever I switch presets, the volume is unaffected till I move the expression pedal - just like the amp parameters of your patches stay the same until you move the knobs on the unit. EDIT : well, I really don't know if this is possible on the HD300. I have the 500X and that tip works like a charm.
  13. How can I move the mixer to the end of the chain without putting all the pre and post effects and amp to Path A (or B )? Will it be enough if I reduce the channel volume of the amp, put the eq after it, and then finalize my patch level using the mixer? I don't feel the need to adjust my pre amp effects as the signal feeding into them is not loud (the guitar input), right?
  14. Thank you for clarifying that. That is nice. However, I also have other plans for the FX loop. I will set up my board as: Guitar > Crybaby wah > Digitech whammy > Pod HD [Fx loop in pre position: boss od-3 > boss bd-2] > Line6 M9 This is why I am so concerned if the M9 will clip. My patches are in -3dB level as indicated in the DAW.
  15. I plan to put the output of my Pod HD500x into the input of the M9. http://line6.com/support/topic/8822-pod-hd500x-output-into-m9-input-will-it-clip-and-midi/ My patches are at least -3dB levels as I checked through my DAW. (Connected the POD hd via USB). If I set the POD HD master volume to maximum and plug the output into M9, will the M9 clip?
  16. I will be putting my delays and reverb in the M9. If I put the M9 on the loop, the delay and reverb trails will be cut off if I change patches right? If that's the case, then I prefer the M9 not to be in the loop.
  17. Isn't -12dB too low? I set my patches level to -3dB.
  18. I'm planning to buy a M9. I don't want to put it on my signal chain via FX loop but instead put the output of the pod into M9 input, then M9 output into DI box straight to PA. Guitar > HD500X > M9 > DI Now, can the M9 handle this properly? No clipping? Another question is, if I won't put it in FX loop and then put a midi connection from the POD going to the M9, will the M9 sync scene whenever I change patches on the POD? Thanks
  19. That's what I've been trying - to reduce the fizz from my patches. Thanks for the inputs!
  20. Oh. It's a shame X3L had this feature and the POD HD not. Thanks!
  21. Is there a way to set the POD HD500X to always output at max volume on balanced out so that the volume knob on the unit will have no effect with the output it will be sending to PA?
  22. I've been trying to EQ my patches by adding some EQ effects after the amp. However, I hear noticeable distortion being added to my tone when I add one. Is this behavior normal? Or just because the EQ effect is clipping? As far as I know, I've set the volume of the mixer and the channel volume within normal range. (I check the dB of my patches in my DAW via USB audio. Thanks a lot.
  23. I'm gonna try hooking the device to the mp3 input. The sound is horrible even after setting the amp model to clean and setting the eq knobs to 12 o'clock. The mid is overemphasized and bass is dull.
  24. It seems that the Spider III amp doesn't have an effects return.
  25. Is there any other way other than using a full range amp?
