  1. Thanks for comfirming... shall we open a Ticket...will they care to make a new M20d build ?:-)
  2. Hi, i support the pairing of one or two (why not!:-) ) L3Ts or L3Ms to Helix...they are made for one another....and sound wonderfully. Sometimes, you plug your Helix into the PA that you find on the gig site....and all your sounds come out really badly damaged...if you can take your full system with you, you can bet on a consistent sound. Or at least, you can prove the PA Engineer "HOW" your sound should sound like...in case of contention :-) Unless you can indeed use the onboard mixed in the L3T, you could probably just go for the L3Ms...did is what i did. Cheers, a.
  3. This post is right for me too....i have opened another conversation signaling that in my case M20d and PC do not seem to communicate...no sound comes in into Studio Pro over the USB link... And, here i seem to gather that the M20d WILL receive sound from the PC over the USB link....in my case i couldn't hear anything...i had a doubt the only way to send sound frmo the PC to the M20d is via the AUX audio input...this did sound strange to me in fact... Thanks! a.
  4. Hey! Just as a confirmation: i take it that the M20d is NOT supposed to operate as a "normal" Audio Device - ie, if i choose M20d as the Default Communication Device in the Windows Sound > Playback Devices panel, and then i start Windows Media Player or any other music player on the PC, the player complains that it can't play out the music. Playback does not even start. I mean, out of the USB interface, from the PC into the M20d. If i choose Helix instead as the Default Device in Playback Devices, the Helix does receive tha audio stream over the USB link, and the WMP does not report any issues. This makes me think any audio from the PC to the M20d has to go necessarily via the PC analog audio out and into the M20d analog AUX ingress. This is also hinted at in the M20d user guide, in the Streaming section. So Helix and M20d are not equivalent for audio playback over USB from a PC. Thanks for any confirmations on this point, obviously i would think the audio is better sent in digital form from PC to M20d over USB, as i would not rely on the audio quality of the internal sound card in the PC if this was working. My PC has Windows 10 64bit, and updated M20d drivers; the M20d has updated firmware. On the PC, in the Sound > Playback panel, i have Helix reported as "Speakers - Default Device", and just below this line i have the M20d as "Speakers - Default Communication Device". I don't know if this difference is just a descriptive label, or if it indeed means the two devices do not posses the same capbilites as playback devices. In Device Manager > Audio inputs and outputs, both Helix and M20d are reported as Digital Audio Interface, and both are labelled as "Speakers" too...so here they seem to be equivalent in the way Windows knows their capabilities.
  5. I have indeed found this article: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/windows-driver-removal-r787 and while the "remove current drivers" part had no effect - my PC kept rediscovering the M20d three times in a row aft i selected Uninstall.... ...installing the driver v1.76 now makes the M20d recognizable as an Audio Interface. Now let me see if the DAW works properly :) Thanks for caring! Alberto
  6. Greeting folks, having just bought my first DAW (PreSOnus Studio One), i proceeded to link my PC up to the M20d; sadly, Windows does discover the M20d and lists it in the general Devices list...however it does not complet the initialization properly, and does not elect it to be an Audio Device. Rebooted both, disconnected, reconnected...something's missing in my Windows install...any similar case in here ? M20d is running the latest SW 1.20. Appreciate any hints! Alberto
  7. Hello folks! I have bought my first PA system: M20d+ 2x L3Ms. They sound awesome and amazing... If anyone here is proficient on the M20d, may i ask two questions (I already RTFM!): 1) Recording on the M20d: if i select Inputs+Main Mix, i do get all files for each track and for the mix. But if i select "Main Mix" only...nothing gets recorded...yet it's quite simple...you can't go wrong... I press the Record button, play the song...stop it...there is nothing saved to be replayed. Also, the "bay" under the play/record controls does not fill with any icon, while when i choose "Inputs+Main Mix", all channels appear as square icons in that bay, and i can see the green blips pulsing as we play. 2) in some Line6 video on the M20d, the guy shows how you can tweak the 32-band Equalizer in the L3 speakers...well, i can't get to that screen...nor does the User Guide show this feature. I upgraded mixed to 1.20 and the speakers to the latest firmware too.... Thanks for any hints - sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.
