I just played a short set last night with a band that needed a guitarist to fill in. There was another band after us, so the stage was full of amps. We played first, and I was using my new Helix LT. The songs we played simply needed a little crunch, and I played solos using the neck pickup on my strat.
After the show, a guy came up and complimented me on my tone. He was very generous with his words. :) He asked if I was using the Fender Twin on stage At first, I was going to give in and tell him about the Helix, but I asked him to keep guessing. He finally ran out of amps he saw on stage, and I told him I ran XLR mono out of the Helix LT into the PA. He was amazed.
Anyhow, I just wanted to share my short story of more validation that the Helix is convincing. I'm glad too. I've been using the Helix Rack for about 6 months and didn't want to lug it to the show. So I picked up a new Helix LT the day of the show, transferred over a few patches from the Helix Rack, and I was ready to go.
Nice job Line 6...
