Voila SUCCESS!!!! The first time I tried to run Line 6 Updater in Update Mode or Safe Boot it stopped halfway through and read on the Helix Floor screen "Update Message Never Started". Then it went back into "Boot Failure". Second time it worked like a charm and I now have 3.50 :). Thank you VERY MUCH for your help and advice HonestOpinion :) !!! I may try to update to 3.51 but I'm going to play with my win right now and enjoy 3.50 for the moment lol.

Ok I finally got back to this. Work has been getting in the way of my hobby. I shutdown my Memory Integrity in Windows 11. Updated Helix Native to 3.51 (latest) on my computer, started my Helix Floor to update and it reads out v3.15 on the start screen then goes to "Boot Failure". I tried to follow the instructions someone else had on another post for this situation > Download Line 6 Updater, then Flash Memory (which doesn't exist?). I cannot find "flash memory" anywhere and if I start Line 6 Updater it merely says Select Device to Update with no options available?

Thank you Honest Opinion, yes I'm aware that Core Integrity and UAC are two different things. Previously when I was trying to update to 3.15 originally back in February, UAC at that time was an issue that took a little while to figure out. I had assumed this time (or hoped at least) it would have been the same thing. No such luck lol. I'm pretty sure I had loaded HX Edit 3.50 at one time and tried to update but if not I'll be sure to try that again as well as turning off the "memory integrity".

Where I'm at now: Reloaded 3.15 successfully. Tried to Update through HX Edit, failed immediately on Windows 7. Tried it again on Windows 10, created a Backup and then tried to Update. At 1% it also failed. At this point I'm frustrated and tired @ 3:57am. Then there are the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 issues. Windows 11 computer, all USB 3.0., Windows 10 and Windows 7 laptop, USB 2.0 which is what I'm trying to use since I think 3.0 doesn't always work yet it worked when I initially installed 3.15 update in the beginning? Heading to bed, I'll pick this up sometime tomorrow, maybe. ^%#@* me.

Where I'm at: Tried several times on Windows 11 with UAC off. Didn't change anything. Went to a Windows 10 computer and turned AV, Windows Defender and UAC off, it started and got about 1/4 of the way through and popped up an error, again. Used a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate and same thing, however I could revert back to 3.15 on the Windows 7 laptop, which I'm in the process of doing again for the fifth time having tried to force the 3.50 Update several times to no avail. All total at least 20x now using various renditions of Windows. I'll try using Windows 7 with HX Edit>Update and see if that works since it's the only version that seems to be acting correctly. If that doesn't work I'll go back to Win 11 and try the same thing. I appreciate your response immensely. I'll also try the post you attached.

When trying to update Helix, Windows 11 UAC is stopping it. Helix doesn't even show up on my computer as existing even though it was previously installed months ago. I have tried disabling UAC and even that doesn't prevent it? Stuck here on 3.15 without hope.

Downloaded Helix Native to import some presets but the only thing showing up is the Helix Native Pilot's Guide? Searched my system and didn't find anything except the Pilot's Guide? The installer went through the process but nothing was added to the desktop, it was added to desktop when I used Windows 10? Upgraded to 3.15

It does, thank you. I was reading that section last night in fact. Trying to digest the manual in it's entirety is a daunting task but definitely necessary. I really appreciate the help here on this forum from you guys. Unlike some other forums that will remain nameless (Linux) lol this is a much friendlier environment.

Thank you very much. I must have overlooked it then when I was trying to figure out how to turn off Windows Smart Screen in order to get things to run/load. I'll dive into the manual and see what I can learn, appreciate you responding. If all else fails I suppose I can go back to 3.0 or 3.01 and start over to build up to current?

The Backup part never showed up? Did do the factory reset, still the same?

I'm fairly new to this so please go easy. After installing the 3.11 Firmware update my scribble strips show either the preset or snapshot only? The ability to access specific pedals that are included with the Snapshot aren't showing up? I went to Global Settings > Footswitches > Preset Mode Switches (Set to Snap/Stomp) > Stomp Mode Switches (Set to 8 Switches). Kinda lost here. Previously through the last Firmware update the Snapshot would show up and then on the Scribble strip I could turn on or off individual pedals that were included in the routing, not now?

I double checked on the brands and now it seems to now be a mix and match of D'Addarios and GHS Boomers (whichever one is the most avialable at the time). Sorry if it killed the mystique some but now you know what you're working with.

Hmm well since it died I'll add a couple tid bits that will be new to most. I used to work for W.L. Gore & Assoc for 17 yrs, producers of Elixir Strings and my area was right next to where the strings were wound. They originally started using D'Addario strings which they spherically wound with Ptfe membrane and then cooked. They've since switched over to GHS Boomers, I would guess solely because of pricing/vendor deal? Process is still the same just different strings now.

I'm not up on this too much since I'm not an electrician but I know with computers at least, a power conditioner changes the wave type of incoming electric I believe to make it more palatable and safer for delicate electronics. You'd have to read up on sine waves etc. there is a difference. High dollar computer power supply backups (at least the good quality ones) had a built in power conditioner/surge protection and a limited amount of battery backup power, enough so your system wouldn't crash in the middle of a job giving you enough time to safely shutdown. They weren't really made for actually powering the computer for any extended period of time. I guess it depends on your budget? If it were for home use I'd go with the first one. If it was for home/club use I'd probably go with the last one. Unfortunately, they don't give you the specs for joules for any of them. Joules determines how much energy it absorbs before it fails which is also something to keep in mind. I wouldn't buy anything less than 2,000 joules for electronics components. The lower the joules of course the lower the price at the sacrifice of reaction time and lower energy absorption. A Sweetwater Rep. might be able to find that out for you if you call? I would also tell them to add the joules number in their spec descriptions and if they don't have them they should call the manufacturer to find out! That's about all I know. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I had the same issue with my G10 as well and simply re-did the flash update and it worked fine after the second go round.

Sounds as though the battery over-drained over the course of years. The charging cycles left are minimal so you have two choices, change the battery or get a new G10. I would try the first idea and see what happens. Looking at mine it appears to be a sealed unit so you may have to do some gluing(?), long term though I'd just buy another unit. I highly doubt Line 6 sells just the transmitters but you can always ask. They may even have another idea?

After losing a $3,000 computer back in 2004 I learned my lesson. A lightning bolt hit right outside my apartment window while I was at work one day blowing out ALL of my electronics including computer, TV, Stereo, Game Console, Microwave, fish tank lights and pump (saltwater reef tank). And left me with about 25-30 gallons of saltwater on my floor. After that hit, I've been saved at least 2x by surge protectors for my electronics. So just a heads up as I can't afford to replace my HX Floor after the next storm lol. You can chance it if you like but it's a cheap investment versus the replacement cost.

I'm surprised Line 6 didn't include a regular USB port to load and save however/whatever the user likes from a simple thumb drive? Not a complaint, just a thought.

I know to name them directly would likely infringe on Copyright Issues but I was wondering if anyone had figured out all of the specific song tones located in the User 2 folder yet. Some are obvious of course and others not so much?
