Hi there, I’m experiencing exactly the same symptoms and the same issue. A friend and I suspected the same area around the voltage regulator and the diodes... This gives me hope to finally repair my DT50, I really hope it will work. So, do I just need to replace the diodes and the regulator that’s mounted on the heatsink? Thanks a lot

By the way, has anyone here ever tried a high-end preamp pedal like a Diezel VH4, Soldano SLO, Friedman IR-X into the power amp input of a DT50 or a Spider Valve?

A quick positive feedback on using the Helix through the power amp in of the Spider Valve MK2 112. The sound is really good — powerful and clean. However, I find it a bit direct and slightly lacking in “creaminess.” Maybe it’s because of the 6L6 tubes? I also tried this Helix setup in the return (power amp in) of my DT50. The sound is really good — more lively, more “creamy,” and organic compared to the Spider. In short, it’s an excellent solution for those who, like me, don’t enjoy the “dead” sound of FRFR sp eakers.

Hi everyone! I’m digging up this thread from the depths of the forum to share my experience using the effects loop on the DT50. I use it with my Helix, either via L6 Link or the return. This way, I can enjoy the amazing sound of the DT50 power section while using the Helix simulations as a preamp. The result is really satisfying. I tested the same setup on the power amp input of my Spider Valve MK2 112. The sound is a bit more direct and dry. It lacks some of the “creaminess” and harmonics, although it’s still of good quality. Hi everyone, I’m experiencing similar symptoms when plugging into the front jack of my DT50. The L6 Link and effects return inputs, however, work perfectly. Has anyone found a solution to this problem ?

Good evening... I have a Helix LT and a DT50 that are connected via L6 link. For a few weeks now, I couldn't see the DT50 settings appear on HX edit... It used to work. Do you have any solution? Thanks

Hi everyone. Hi all ! I have abnormal saturation on the clean channel of my DT50 since today :( I use it with Helix and the Line6 link... The problem also exists when I don't use the Helix and plug the guitar on the amp... Do you think I should change the power tubes? Could it be a more serious breakdown? Thanks everyone! Bonjour d'abord, excusez mon anglais car je suis français. When I play at high volume on my dt50, especially during palm mute, I hear like the sound of screws or nuts not tightened inside the combo. Of course I carried out an external verification but I did not find anything abnormal. Do you think I can open the amplifier paying attention to electrical overloads? Is there a risk that I damage it during the opening? Thank you !
