  1. With my Kindle Fire HDX 9.7" the bluetooth has been rock solid. Although I have not tested the distance it has not broke connection once. There is absolutely no lag when changing presets. I does take a second for the app to catch up but it has no affect on the pedal. My enthusiasm was capped off when I walked off and left my Kindle upstairs. I simply connected with my android phone and away I went. By the way you do not need the app to run the pedal, only to edit the presets or to stream music. That being said any mp3 player with bluetooth should be able to connect and stream music. Sorry. I'll end my gleaming endorsement here.
  2. Okay I seem to have fixed the problem. Im not sure how but one thing I did do was make sure there was no duplicates in My Tones. Then I made sure the last thing I did was to do a hardware save by holding down the preset button and saving it on the pedal. One other thing I did different although I'm not sure it matters was to turn the unit off at its switch instead of just powering down the power strip like I normally do.
  3. It has happened on Banks 1 and 2. At one point all 4 presets on bank 1 had reset the name to "Default". Another time only 2 presets changed. Do you have to turn on the pedal before the app or the app before the pedal to get it to sync correctly?
  4. It seems I am having an issue saving Presets. I save them to "My Tones", I then save them to the hardware position of my choice. I can then navigate via the pedal buttons to each preset I just saved and they show up as such in the Amplifi app. But then after turning it off and then back on later the tones are still there with all of the settings I left them with but the names of the presets have been set to Default. Be advised I am using the Android app on a Kindle Fire Hdx. I am not sure if there is a "cardinal rule" to saving the presets but I have tried every possible way. Its annoying because I am having trouble remembering what preset is in what location until I see it in the app. During a gig this is not a problem. My cheat sheet lets me know what button to push. Anybody had a similar experience? Am I just overlooking something simple. It needs a global "Save" button to save the everything at one time including the hardware.
  5. That is very true but the ability to tweak and arrange from a wireless android device is something I've been waiting for for quite some time. I'm having a blast and I'm not constantly on my knees tweaking the knobs. And I'm getting really proficient at creating tones on the fly. And I love the tone matching feature. I would like more fx models though even if they cost a little something. Sorry I just realized how many times I said "and".
  6. That's good to know. I hate getting my hopes up. I have fell in love with the FX100 but I am saving up for the Firehawk. It has far more and far better options. The only thing I don't get is why they left the looper off. Sounds like a no brained.
  7. I have the Amplifi Fx100 with the v2.1 firmware update and I am not experiencing any lag at all. As a matter of fact I have it paired to my Kindle Fire Hdx and it updates changes faster than the iPad I first used to set it up
  8. It does show up on my Android phone as well.
  9. The manual entry shows up on my Kindle Fire HDX. Fixing to download it on my phone and see if it shows up there.
  10. This may sound like a silly quiestion to the die hard Line 6'ers, but will any of the amp models or fx ever be updated in the Amplifi FX100? Or are they permanently implanted on a chip. Just wonder if I need to start thinking about upgrading to the Firehawk since it has the HD line of fx.
  11. Oh by the way, Im gonna go play! Chow and thanks so much for the help!!
  12. Yes I had already been playing with the app. Update is complete and it shows connected via bluetooth but still not letting me control anything via the remote. Im reinstalling the app now then I will restart and see if that helps. And yes I reset and recalibrated.
  13. Cool. But yes the USB would be much faster. It is still updating. But at least it IS updating. Right now I am not complaining at all.
  14. So the firmware is currently updating using the iPad so all is good for now. I will still need the Amplifi Utility for future updates though since I am only borrowing the iPad.
  15. The iPad is updating to version 8.xx or something like that. It didnt say version 9. Wouldnt that just add to it all?
  16. I did manage to find an iPad but before I can install the Amplifi Remote I have to update their iOS. Can you FEEL the frustration?
  17. Yes. Wonder if someone could just email it to me. Getting a little desperate. Received my AMPLIFI FX100 just the other day and had to return to the store because of bad power supply. Now that I have it home and working I cannot get the Utility to update the firmware in order to use my Kindle to control it. Nobody I know locally has an iPad or iPod. We are Android and PC people! Haha!
  18. Odd. Tried the link. Turned off the firewall and antivirus and still it said that the URL wasn't found. Even successfully downloaded the line monkey just to see if I could.
  19. I'm trying to download the amplify utility for the first time but I keep running into " server or directory not found. Is it down today? Or has it been moved? Is there somewhere else to download it?
