  1. I’m cautiously optimistic…. Despite not mentioning it in the bug fixes list, my testing so far shows the disappearing-midi-assignments bug (not just just Pitch Wham) appears to have been fixed in 3.15! I’ve been stuck on 3.1 because of it but now I get to play around with the new goodies from 3.10 and 3.15. Thanks Line 6!
  2. I spoke too soon. I can't get that fix (install 3.01 and then 3.10 again) to work on the other computer. I even did the exact same steps. The only thing that seems different is the time that it worked, when I first opened up Helix Native inside Logic it made me sign into my line6 account. So now I'm wondering if that could somehow be related? If so, is there a way to force Helix back into default state? I guess I'll keep searching for a solution. I had actually be planning on spending the week creating midi assignments for Helix Native. Bad timing on my part I guess...
  3. Update (solved?): I had an issue reinstalling 3.10 after I tried to downgrade to 3.01. So I did a search on my computer for everything named "Helix" and dragged it to the trash and reinstalled 3.10 and was careful to only install the AU version (unselected vst and aax versions). But now in 3.10 the controller assignments are saving!!! Not sure what the issue was, but for now it seems resolved. Of course, I need to try and replicate those steps on my other computer to see if I can get it to work there. I'll have to be more careful there to backup all of my presets first. Not sure if this will help anyone else since there seems to be an issue on Windows as well as macOS.
  4. I tried installing 3.01 by first moving the 3.10 AU out of the components folder, but I get an error when I launch Helix Native: "Failed to connect to DSP engine. (Device has not be initialized properly. )". So looks like I might be stuck with the assignment bug until there is an update. I am very curious why Soundog doesn't seem to be affected when I have tried it on two different computers with the same Hx 3.10, Catalina, Logic Pro and have the bug on both. I did file a support ticket and will report back if I get a resolution.
  5. Thanks soundog. Since part of my troubleshooting involved installing Native on another computer, I'll use that one to test out your method. At this point I'd rather have the midi assignments than the new features of 3.10 (though of course ideally I would have both).
  6. So far I have not found a rhyme or reason to why some midi CC assignments are deleted as soon as a patch is saved (volume, distortions, amps, modulation, pitch, etc.). I had a theory for a while that it was the first parameter in an effect, but it happens for others as well. This is with 3.10 running on Logic Pro as an Audio Unit (AU) plug-in. Things I’ve tried that make no difference and still lose assignments when patch is saved: 1. Tried two different midi pedals (including Line6 FBV). 2. Tried assigning directly through the drop down CC list rather than by midi learn. 3. Upgraded from Mojave to Catalina. 4. Tried a different computer (this was a clean install as I had never installed Helix Native on it). 5. Tried saving Helix presets to the library and directly to a hard drive. None of that made any difference. Not sure what else I can do. At this point, I’d like to try and go back to 3.01. Does anybody have any experience installing older Helix versions? Should I uninstall first?
  7. I upgraded to Catalina and am still having the issue. My setup seems identical to Soundog (Helix 3.10, macOS Catalina, Logic Pro) so not sure why it's working in one case but not another. I filed a support ticket on the issue.
  8. I am having the same issue with Helix 3.10 on MacOS Mojave with Logic Pro. The issue doesn't seem to be tied to a particular controller assignment, but if you have more than one controller assignment, it deletes all of them except for one. But I also just tried only the pitch wham and it won't save even if I don't have more than one. Perhaps I need to upgrade to Catalina?
  9. I am having the same issue with 3.10. Controller assignments will not save with presets. It seems to only keep one assignment and delete all of the rest. I am using Logic as the DAW. I submitted a support ticket as well.
  10. O.k. reporting back. After installing WorkBench 1.54 and restarting, it looks like WorkBenchHD is now connecting. Though oddly, in Monkey, the JTV is no longer showing up. I guess I'll pick my battles as long as I can get HD working. Perhaps Line6 should clarify for anyone purchasing new JTVs (Rather than upgrading to HD) that they can't just install WorkBenchHD and have to install the older version first. Would have saved me some frustration... Hopefully this will help others.
  11. Thanks for the replies. I finally got the Variax to show up in Monkey as a separate device (Didn't make any changes, just waited an hour or so - perhaps it only works after 8p PST? :). But the WorkBenchHD still won't connect. I now I have Variax USB Device & Tyler Variax listed as separate devices in Monkey. If I click on the Tyler Variax, it says Device Firmware Flash Memory 2.0, but under applications, it has the newest Variax Workbench listed as v. 1.54. So do I need to install v1.54 first before Variax HD works? I generally don't like to install old software if I don't have to, but maybe that is what is required? I guess I'll try that and see if that does anything.
  12. I just got my JTV69 and can't get it connected to WorkBenchHD either. Here's my set-up: JTV69 connected via the VDI cable to the supplied Variax USB interface which is connected via USB cable directly to my MacMini (Running Mavericks). Additionally, I have a 1/4" cable plugged into the JTV69. The battery is charged. Status: The JTV69 is powered on (model selector know lit up) The USB interface shows two green lights The MacMini system information shows that the "Variax USB Interface" is connected Line6 Monkey shows the "Variax USB Interface" However, Monkey shows only shows the latest version of Variax Workbench at 1.54 so I did not install from within Monkey, I downloaded WorkBenchHD directly. It is unable to connect to the JTV69. I've unplugged/replugged/restarted/rescanned all to no avail. Kind of frustrating. Should the JTV69 show up in Monkey separately or just the USB interface? I am trying to see what firmware version is installed on the guitar, but since it doesn't show up anywhere, I'm not sure how to do that. For what its worth, License Manager doesn't connect to or find the JTV69 or the USB interface. Any help would be appreciated.
