Hi there, no issues to report after our gig last night. Set list maker, Cicada Pageflip, M20d remote are all working fine in iOS 7. But I had to reconnect the M20. It is recognized as "device" now on the WLAN settings in iOS 7 and complaining that the M20 is not connected to the internet. Just set list maker rendering some pdf's now, but that's for another forum. Hey, Line6, what have you thought by not connecting the M20 to the internet? ;) Just think about the possibilities! We could stream our gigs live to our user profiles on the Line6 Site (just kidding, found the message about internet connection in IOS too funny) :D

Hi, i have updated my ipad to IOS 7 just this morning and will we have a gig on Saturday. I will report here if I see any issues regarding ios 7 with the app during a live situation.

Mh, don´t know. I think you have to take in account that you are required to buy an ipad in order to use the Mackie, it doesn´t work without it, the M20 does. You should add this to the Mackie price. I also like the M20d "just play-around" approch and presets for common instruments und microphone setups, which invites for a lot of playing without learning about equilizers, gates, de-essers, etc. I think the Mackie is just more a traditional desk where just have the faders on your ipad and you have to know exaclty what you are doing in order to set up everything for good sound. Haven´t thought about how Equilizers are set up, what frequencies you have to lower or turn higher if you have acoustic guitars and female voice in orer to create a broad sound before our first gig and we sounded just great with just a little bit of work regarding to setting up the desk. This is what I like about the M20D. Nonetheless the M20 works with cheap USB wireless stick (well, most of the time and if you get the right one), the Mackie Needs a router so again more eqipment on the stage.

I have discovered that if you turn up the master volume level of the M20d to 0 DB and on the other hand maybe turn down the volume of the speakers a little bit (depending on what speakers you have) for your front mix you´ll get a pretty good level for recording on your tracks. Did that last time and the volume of the tracks is quite OK, for single track and main mix recording.

Hi all, just a quick question: Just discovered yesterday when I turned on the M20d after doing a setup last weekend all volumes of main outs and monitors where set back to 0 (not 0 dB) ;) Is this expected behaviour to prevent damage to speakers when turning on the system or a bug? I was assuming volumes are saved with the setup. Not In issue at all for me, just wondering.

Hi there, is anyone of you folks who live in the area of south west Germany interested in a M20d "Stammtisch"? For all of you who don´t speak German: "Stammtisch" is a very typical German word and I don´t know if there´s an exact translation for it in English. So basically it describes that you gather with friends and/or people who are interested in the same topics as you are on a regular basis and just chat together and drink a beer or two. In this case it´s maybe comparable to a kind of "user group". Anyway, my idea is that all who own a M20d or are interested in buying one come together and have a good time and exchange tipps and tricks on how to use the M20d (e.g. share good settings for guitars, eq´s vocals etc.). Maybe there´s a Line6 employee who can come along and share some "deep insight" knowledge in a kind of workshop like thing :) So, if you are interested, let me know.

So, today we did a complete band session and tried to record again. And surprise: Recording was working very well. For all lines and main mix. My fault was that I didn´t crank up the master volume of the M20d to 0 dB last time we tried. We just had our active speakers turned up. So, we reduced volume of the speakers and turned the master volume up on the M20d. The tip with navigating to the root of the SD card was superb. First it didn´t recognize the SD card, but was fine when I navigated to the root of the file explorer on the M20d and then clicked on the SD card.

It´s only Cajon, Compact-Conga (it`s only a frame with drumhead, like a frame drum and without shell) and some shakers and so on for percussion, so all not as loud as "normal" drums. The Conga and Cajon have their own drum-mics and the hand percussion I´m going to pickup with a SM58, beause sometimes I do also backing vocals. The preset for Cajon of the M20d is pretty awesome.

Thanks for the tip. I'll consider this during our soundcheck for our first gig with the M20d. But since we are just a three man acoustic band with 2 acoustic guitars and percussions. Sometimes one of our guitarists plays bass. All directly connected to the M20d without guitar or bass amps, so stage sound off the stage will be a minor issue during a "recorded soundcheck" I think. At least I hope so :)

Hi there, I just took a Look at the user's manual for theM20d, but couldn't find an answer to my question so I decided to put this into the forums. Is it possible to record to USB or SD instead of the internal memory and use this recording to do a FOH soundcheck using the iPad App? We just thought about recording a few important songs and then play them all to do a soundcheck, because we have some very different styles we play.

Mh, I got my m20d just a few days ago and on thursday I have only created one setup for the band rehearsal, so there no multiple setups yet. I put in all Inputs as well as the xlr outputs for our PA. I then inserted the sd card. As I said, I got files for each track, with a plausible size (e.g. a recording for one track for a song was was round about 44MB), but the files itself seem to be empty. The main signal recording was working, but with a very weak signal. But the signals for each channel were ok from the display of the m20d in perform and setup mode as well as on our PA it was loud enough.

Hi there, I also have a problem recording the line outputs on my new m20d. I have some files on the sd card (all with "normal" size for a recording), but the line input wave file are silent. I then had put also the main mix to the recording and this worked out, but it was too silent. It`s just not as loud as it was through our PA. Any hints?
