Same problem here, with a few interesting extras. I like to audition different cabs and cab IRs with my favorite amps. The Mark II C+ is a good example of using snapshots to switch between channels. Using snapshots should fix the preset switching gap problem however, going from normal to lead with a snapshot creates a pretty loud pop. But I digress.... Anyway, I like using a different cab between the clean and lead snapshots. That's when audio output disappears or a few times I got a squealing sound and the Stadium locks up. Reboot time... Sometimes it doesn't seem to complete.... it hangs. After few tries it finally boots completely, but the scribble strips are blank. So I mess with the global setting footswitches and voila, scribble strips appear. Did I digress again? I've done many troubleshooting steps, including the nuke and pave method. As soon as I start adding IRs and Showcase stems, the bugs emerge. Must be some serious code memory leaks going on, who knows. Aside from this, the sounds I'm dialing in are great. I have submitted a ticket and they have quickly responded but no solution as of yet of course. Can you imagine what customer support is going through? Meanwhile I'm not mad, I knew the job was dangerous when I took it. EC

I've had problems stuck at boot up as well. It started after importing lots of IRs. I've tried making a backup then resetting to factory defaults and then restoring but still had stuck boot ups. On top of that after shutting down and trying again it might startup but the scribble strips go blank. Not sure if that's a related issue. So, I tried resetting to factory defaults again and reinstalling firmware 1.2 and not restore but start all over building presets, importing IRs. I now boot up ok but the blank scribble strips thing happens. If I fiddle with global settings footswitches the scribble strips reappear. Oh, one more thing, output goes silent occasionally when switching between presets. I have to reboot to get sound back. I have started a support ticket and got a quick reply but no solutions yet. I bet they are working hard on fixes. Ah yes, the downside of upgrading.... isn't it fun living on the bleeding edge? EC

But it doesn’t happen on the helx LT or native. it’s not a show stopper but strange

Strange but true. Creating a parallel path on the on HX Stomp the merge mixer show +3 level. On Native or my LT the merge level is 0. This is puzzling..... EC

It's very helpful to put a looper block first in the chain. record a phrase then audition IRs with different amps while it plays back. Focusing on the sound rather than playing is great however part of the thing is how it feels as well. You'll probably find that real world amp/speaker/mic combinations work best. Start there, a random search could be endless. I have bought way too many IRs since getting the Helix... Seems I always end up liking Ownhammer best. Especially the latest releases. Some Celestion IRs really good as well. In this business over 50 years I can truly say we have it good these days...

Try the Grammatico (default setting) into the Powercab set to LF-RAW it's absolutely amazing! Turn off any cab or IR and let the Powercab do it's thing.... Add the KOT or Zen Drive. Using L6 link to control Powercab Plus with Helix (LT) is absolutely fantastic! It's works beautifully with 2 Powercabs It's in the output block.

The King of Tone is remarkable... I've owned one for years. I did an A/B test and was amazed how close it sounds. EC

The first reason was sufficient. Second reason uncalled for...

Too bad L6 didn't split this update up. I'm itching to use the new amps, King of Tone and Zen Drive. I can wait for the new software functionality.
