Ok so basically i think i have decided to not pick up a DT50 even though i have found a few used ones for really good prices. The weight of the thing is basically whats making me shy away. I am not a pro and i will probably not make much money if any playing around. So with that being said i am thinking that the DT25 combo and a ext cab should be enough for practice, playing at home, and small venues. Thoughts? Also i should not even consider an Amplifi right?

None of the shops near me have any. Here is another question i have found a dt50 for 650. Seems like a really good deal. Any advatages of the dt25 over the dt50 other than weight? I might pick up the used dt50. Oh and i am always looking for versatility but really i am looking for something that my hd500x will hook up with the best and sound the best.

I am thinking about getting back into the gigging business, playing around with people and doing a few shows here and there. Is the dt25 for me? Also right now i have a Marshall JCM900 i think i am going to sale it in order to fund my dt25 venture. Thoughts? Also combo vs head. My thought are i can get the combo which is cheaper currently and add another cabinet if i need to. I was thinking about keep my Marshall 4x12 for this purpose. Is the DT25 a) going to be loud enough or should i go with the head?

I have not used a POD in a longggg time and the Mixer is pretty the only thing i have not looked at yet. I have been beating my head on the wall for two nights trying to figure this out.

To adjust the signal i go into the driver through ableton and lower it there. But i have a feeling that is not actually lowering the signal strength just the volume somehow. I guess i need to start looking at ableton maybe being the issue? What mixer levels are you referring to to lower the signal through USB?

This is the first time i have setup the Pod HD500x as my interface. I was using a Focusrite usb interface before with no issue. I have just recently purchased the pod. I am not new to recording but i have been away for a while. I am also a support engineer so i have done a good bit of troubleshooting on this. I did open a support ticket but it could take days. I am just looking for ideas if anyone has anything. Win 8.1, just reformatted and all drivers updated. I updated all the drivers through Monkey as well. Not sure if i did the firmware or not, but i think it was up to date already. I need to verify that when i get home tonight.

The +18db is not checked. The wave form can be big or small depending on the level i set for the record send. But no matter it still looks maxed out.

My guitar sounds fine going into Ableton live 9 via USB through my headphones. However on playback it is distorted. I can see where the signal seems to be blowing it out, but no matter what i try it seems to do it. I turn my send down, i have the pod set to studio mode, i turn the volume down on the pod itself via the volume nob and no good. Ideas? This is driving me nuts. On a side note i was using a Focusrite USB hub and i had no issue with it what so ever. And yes i have read through the USB troubleshooting guide. And i have messed with buffer sizes etc. in Ableton Basically what it looks like is the signal is going in super hot no matter what i adjust. There has to be an option or something i am missing.

Recording in Ableton with HD500x, other tracks to quiet
thomaswhudson replied to thomaswhudson's topic in POD HD
Its just that the guitar part or whatever i am playing at the moment is overpowering what has already been recorded or programmed. I guess i need a way to turn down the guitar monitoring that i am currently playing vs what is playing back at that moment so i can get a more balanced mix while recording. -
I picked up a HD500x yesterday and before i was using a focusrite sound card. I got rid of it so i could just use the pod to do the interface part. i have a question though. I can hear everything and all that, so thats not a issue. What is an issue is i can barely hear the drums i have programmed in Ableton live when i am trying to track guitars. My guitar is PLENTY loud. Any ideas on adjust levels like that? I have the volume on the track all the way up on the drums.
