Good morning fellow Helix users. I created a video on which I demo and walk through a metal tone using stock cabs (no IRs) geared towards low and drop-tuning (using my Solar Guitars baritone). I hope it helps someone find their sound. Cheers

Hello, I was thinking about buying a JTV69 one day and try and convert it to a Bass VI by replacing the stock neck with a Warmoth Baritone Conversion neck (28.625 scale length) and changing the strings to a much heavier gauge (19-82's. Maybe even heavier depending on preference). The question I'm wondering is it this possible or would I have to go through extensive modding or is it just not possible at all? I'm not worried about anything about the neck (including nut and tuners) since I already am gonna replace it. One thing I found might be an issue and am worried about is when looking up pictures online of the bridge assembly, I'm worried an 82 gauge string would sit ON TOP of the piezo pickup because of how thick the string is and how narrow of a spacing the piezo pickup/bridge gives, and thus wouldn't detect any movement of the string and not work.

Hey Guys, I wanted to do a playthrough of the song Shapeshifter by my band/project The Partisan Component. All guitars and bass were tracked with the Line 6 Helix Rack using Ownhammer Impulses. I used my PRS SE 277 Baritone loaded with Fishman Fluence Modern pickups. I'm going to do a video breaking down the mix and guitar tones of this track as well. The track along with our other singles can be found by following the link below https://fanlink.to/UP4 nickhillmakesmusic@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/nickhillmakesmusic https://www.twitter.com/nhillmakesmusic https://www.instagram.com/nickhillmakesmusic/ My Band | The Partisan Component https://thepartisancomponent.bandcamp.com/

Hey! First post here. Been using a Helix for my full live rig for about 6 months. I run it Danelectro > Helix > EHX mag 44 > 2 x 12 cab. (As well as running it as a vocal comp and preamp) That being said, I’d love to get more out of the variax side of the Helix. It’s obvious to me that i can’t convert the dano in to variax which has led me into seriously considering picking up a JT variax. My question is, if there was a point that i wanted to convert the JT to a baritone using a Warmoth 28†inch neck, would that effect or even possibly damage the digital components of the variax system. Thanks again, Zane

Hi everybody! I just finished a new tune with my new LTD Baritone guitar into the Helix and it's sounding pretty darn massive! Someone suggested that I try the Fatality Line 6 original amp with this guitar and it is a great pairing. This guitar is tuned to drop-Ab so the amp model has to handle the low tunings well. I did use a tubescreamer model up front though, to tighten up the low end more. For the Cab sound I used some new OwnHammer IR's from the 412 Recto cab which is available now at http://ownhammer.com/412-recto I used the V70B for the main rhythms and a couple of the other ones for the additional parts. It's safe to say this is by far my favorite cab to use now so I highly recommend checking it out! Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfaPyhrBkRA
