  1. My unit froze during a flash update and it was no longer possible to establish communcation. There are a number of threads on this subject suggesting different remedial actions. The solution in my case was to re-install the the Line6 drivers (downloaded from this site) on my laptop. This allowed the computer to "see" the unit again and let me re-flash the latest version.
  2. Hi I just bought a used Pocket POD and decided to update the firmware (flash). Well the update has been running for over an hour now, see attached image. Suggestions? Thank you in advance David
  3. Hello guys! I purchased a HD500X 2months ago. It was sooooooo freakin' awesome!!!!!! But, when I was about to update the firmware... Line 6 Monkey 1.72 does not have HD500X on its list. So I am not able to connect my POD to Monkey... and so I'm unable to perform updates... I've tried the HD500Xedit and it was working well. I'm able to copy paste save patches and set lists. The USB cable is good, the HD500X driver is installed and working properly. Too bad I couldn't update to the latest firmware because Line 6 Monkey is not recognizing HD500X. I've tried re-installing Monkey 1.72 then the other previous versions 1.71 -----> 1.63 but all of them does the same thing. They don't recognize HD500X. Its still not listed in the drop down list. What else can be done to sort this out? Has anyone tried to connect their HD500X thru MIDI? Will it work despite the not listed problem in Monkey? Hope to hear from you guys soon! thanks! :)
  4. Hi, I bought an M5 used and started to notice a ground hum coming from it (With the unit being operational). I found a link on the site that explained an issue with screws on the bottom not making good contact with the chassis, and tried the steps. http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/88421 When I plugged in the unit now the LCD display just faintly blinks but the main screen doesn't come up. Before that it makes a flashing and maybe 5 ticking noises...... I thought maybe something went a rye, so I put the unit into Flash update mode by holding down both foot switches. It say "FLASH UPDATE MODE WAITING COMMAND..." I then went into Line 6 monkey, and in the listing in the middle the Device Firmware shows as Flash Memory, and Unknown for installed, 1.0 for Newest. I attempt to update the selection (button), and get an error : Update failed. (Code 80000000A) And undefined error occurred:.... See attached. Hmmm... What to do next??? Thanks, Adam Anyone have any ideas? Is this box hosed beyond repair?
