  1. Hi, Since getting Helix Stadium XL I've been able to record to Audacity & BandLab via USB-C cable in stereo on Windows 11. I can't say exactly when it started occurring, but I can now no longer record from Helix in stereo - just mono. I recently updated Helix to 1.3.2. Whether it was the Helix update or a Windows update - I really don't know. I know I didn't change anything in Helix Global Settings (though I've just done a factory reset of these, which hasn't solved the problem). I've also uninstalled & reinstalled the Helix drivers. I can record from keyboards via USB in stereo, so I don't think it's a Windows/hardware issue. Any help much appreciated.
  2. Hi Helix Stadium XL Team, I own the Helix Stadium XL and often have it on my desk when working with it and not using in a live playing situation. I do this because like many of us, I'm not able to continuously lean down to use it while on the floor. I know I can use the Helix App, which I also use and think is really well done! When I'm working with the Stadium XL on the desk, I can use my 8 switch MIDI foot controller on the floor and between what I can reach over and physically tough on the XL and what I can do with the MIDI foot controller, I can simulate just about everything I want to do when testing things out to be ready to use the XL in a live situation when I move the XL to the floor. One big missing feature is having the ability to map switches on my MIDI foot controller to directly to each FootSwitch on the XL using CC MIDI commands (ie: MIDI CCx for FootSwitch 1 on the XL, etc). I see that this feature was available in prior Helix version, but seems to have been explicitly removed from the XL. I realize I can map midi from the foot controller to blocks that are assigned to foot switches, but what I'm talking about is the ability to map a foot controller switch directly to a specific Foot Switch on the XL, as was available in prior Helix models. Any chance you will bring this back? Thanks, Dan
  3. looking through the online manual for the Stadium XL, it doesn't look like it currently supports global midi commands for the footswitch emulation like the original helix. Are there plans for adding support for footswitch emulation via MIDI?
  4. It may not be perfect and it might be too bulky for a live application but it will work in the meantime. At least until they released the d10 expander: I ran my Variax guitar (via VDI cable) into my original helix and then I split the magnetic pickup and the piezo into two paths. I sent the magnetic pickup out of send 1 and the piezo pickup out of send 2. I then ran two ts cables from the sends into the two instrument inputs on the Stadium XL. I made a patch on the Stadium XL with two separate inputs: one with instrument input 1 and the other instrument input 2. After that you can do whatever. You got to still have to use the original Helix to control the Variax, unless you setup a midi cable and program it. Hope this helps. Thanks!
  5. When you install the Helix Stadium software, it will prompt you with a pop-up to access your Local Network when trying to connect. It's best to click "Allow" then your Helix Stadium software should connect to your Stadium device. If you don't have permissions turned on, then you can do it manually though System Settings: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click Local Network. For Helix Stadium, turn the ability to access your local network to ON.
  6. I've noticed after setting up a great electric guitar/mic/aux backing preset using the Matrix Mixer - and then setting up another preset for acoustic piezo/mic/aux with different Matrix Mixer settings - that it completely messed up the original mix for the electric. I totally get the usefulness of having the Matrix Mixer be Global, but for me it would be much more useful if it could be saved per-preset. So my question - am I seriously missing something here? I don't see a Global setting for the Mixer being Global vs Preset. If it is always Global, I'd put in a request for having it Per-Preset as an option. Hopefully someone will tell me I'm an idiot and there's an easy fix. I'm a longtime Pod>Helix user, and a retired pro sound designer - but I am getting long in the tooth and sometimes miss the obvious. BTW, if anyone from Line 6 sees this - kudos to all!!! The Stadium XL is a spectacular piece of gear!!!
