  1. Hi there, this might sound like a silly question, but I'm having hard times figuring out how to have my click sound in ProTools that I can hear in my HX stomp. So far, the best I can do is to select Microsoft MIDI Mapper [emulated] > channel 1 as metronome output, but then I get the click on the computer speakers, not in my earphones (plugged on the stomp). If I select Line 6 HX Stomp [emulated] > channel 1, then I don't hear anything at all. Any hints? Thank you!
  2. Hello Everyone New to Helix, so far so good with the sounds slowly exploring Meanwhile, here are some small observations/comments about some basic tools to make Helix more useable. If it's been covered in another thread, apologies. 1. level VU/meter ================== There is no way to get a visual check would to “see†if any signal is getting through at different points (e.g. maybe the lead is not working? maybe there is a patch setting in a FX which has a level switched to 0 etc.]. In live situations you need to check levels *before* you make a noise, not during the singer’s introduction/pastor’s sermon etc.. We cannot do stuff on the fly unless we mute our amps and put on headphones. Impractical. We cannot "see" the amount of compression attentuation etc.. we have chosen idea: level meters at different stages of the chain 2. tuner ================== My Petersen strobo-tuner is *very* accurate, especially so for difficult and double stringed instruments which need high-level resolution. The Helix easily has the DSP resources to achieve this degree of accuracy but the current tuner is pretty basic and I never can be sure it is reading back true. idea: why not implement at least ±0.1c and also give some better visual feedback? 3. Mono button ================== We cannot check for phase issues and test the “stereo†imaging idea: a MONO button on the output stage 4. Metronome ================== I am playing free-time, it'd be nice to TAP the tempo and get a click idea: a metronome so we can play along Thanks All :lu
  3. Hello, I am using Pod HD500x..............and I am being questioned by many guitarists who have very low-end effects processors like zoom G 1.1...............and the question they are asking me is "do you have drum beats or metronome in you processor??" ..................... And now my question is almost the same .............is there any way to add drum beats or metronomes to my processor using some other pedals or any midi devices??
  4. Ok it's just a Pocket POD but here is my issue. If you say the word Tack like I do (Southerner with just a touch of Northerner), it's two syllables "Tah-acK" with a hard T and a hard K. Very often when I hit a note on the guitar (send a signal to the Pocket POD), it produces this metronome-with-echo-like tack sound which constantly repeats. At that point I usually turn off the unit. Sometimes when I turn it back on the tack sound is gone, but then it usually comes back after a while. I bought the unit new - through Sweetwater; it's definitely out of warranty...so in your opinion is it just a failed electric part, SRAM, diode, resistor...and I should just toss the thing and look for a better product?? Thanks for reading…and considering the problem!
