1. People in my house are messing with my cables. Or I am loosing my mind. 2. Watched some Youtube videos and have confused myself and made the diagram linked below. 3. Main objective is keep things very simple, keep the signal chain sequence and experiment using this with bass also. Personal OneDrive public link. Hello music community! I just got a used POD XT Live a month ago, I'm really enjoying the hardware since it's my first ever experience with pedals/pedalboard (I realize this equipment is more than that). Recently I wondered, what those multiple softwares available are? I tried plugin' in the USB and downloading the driver + Line 6 edit + some other softwares but it doesn't seem to recognize the device from the USB door. I'm here to ask for a general guidance to start exploring this tool. Thank You! Is it possible to have more than one output? like one for recording on the PC and other to the amp. I got a crap laptop so I don't know if I'll get delay or noise since the audioboard might be crap too.

Hi all, Firstly, major major noob when it comes to digital gear here, so please forgive my complete and utter ignorance. In my youth, I played in heavy metal bands that ended up doing a fair amount of gigging (low key!) and my amp of choice was a Marshall 1/2 stack with a 5150 head. I had 2 pedals, tuner and a noise gate, but that was it - pure chug, simple set up - easy for an idiot like me. Since then, I sold all my gear (bar my guitars!) and kept a small practice amp that just died. Fast forward to today and I’ve just purchased a Helix floor model. Great I thought, I don’t even need an amp, I’ll just plug it into my iMac via USB and away I go. Clearly, I was mistaken as this hasn’t worked. I have no external speakers, just my iMac internal speakers but was hoping this would be sufficient. I really want to keep the Helix, I had a good hour long play on it in the shop and love the idea of it, but I don’t want to have to invest in more gear to play it... am I being massively unrealistic? I do feel genuinely stupid, but can anyone suggest an easy way for me to get playing, preferably without having to outlay yet more cash? Apologies for my ignorance, but any help would be amazing! Thanks, G

Hello guys, thanks for accepting me. So I tried to read all the older topics to avoid asking again, hower I did not found what is needed. :( So I got pretty simple setup. Diezel Vh4 Miid cable And HX Effects Currently when I am at the Banks 01A to 01D I have managed to program the Amp channels to switch(via Midi) How can I assign stomp possitions in lets say 01A(bank) to switch Chanels via Midi? *When I am in the Stomp mode. I want to assign 1,4,5,6 to switch the 4 head channels(via the midi) ... This Will leave me with 2 free stomps for 2 effects. That's it enough for me, nothing more. Thanks in advance.

I've read multiple threads about this, and have not found a fix. I'm trying to set my helix up for live performance, but i can not for the life of me eliminate the dry signal. when i turn an amp off in a chain, i still have dry signal coming through. This is the case with all of the patches, factory presets, and ones I try to do myself. I have a feeling it's some global setting I have set wrong. I've attached a pic of a simple routing that i'm using and still receiving dry signal. Thanks, hope to be doing more contributing and less bitching in the future!

Hey guys, i'm in serious need of some better sound. I want to get a 4x12 cabinet, i have been looking at something like the Line 6 412VS so i can finally use the stereo capabilities of my POD HD... Just wondering, can i plug it straight into the cabinet and have it work? Or will i need a Stereo Poweramp or something?
