Does anyone know if it is possible to bend the pitch of individual strings up or down on the Variax by use of the Helix expression pedal or using a momentary switch? Similar to another product by another company. Bending the string controlled with expression pedal as if using a finger to bend the string.

Hi guys, i'd like to throw another idea in the creative department. I'd totally need a multitap delay that would pitch shift every single tap. It'd be basically an effective arpeggiator. I'd be enough to add a parameter to the existing multitaps. I'd be a killer and I'm sure would add a lot of value to the helix. Mind there's no such effect pedal around that does such thing except for the echolution2 by pigtronix (and that cost over 600$). Wouldn't it be a good idea for a future update? I'm no engineer but I dare to think it wouldn't be a huge work to add this feature (as the helix having already the technology both for multitaps and pitch shifting). Or maybe you guys worked out some similar ideas in a different way. Then please share it. Many thanks

I found this in a FarceBuck post on Pedalboards of Doom. Digital Igloo spills the beans - or does he? What can it mean? Digital Igloo mentions “A team of experts in polyphonic pitch shifting†See attached image!

It's been two weeks since I got an H9 max. Not much to say that you can't guess or you don't already know. It's superb. ...but, I must say... as famed as Eventide's pitch shifting algorithms are, the whammy on Helix sounds waaaaay better to me than its H9 "equivalent", the Pitchflex, which is sounding grainy, not as fluid as the one on Helix. Also, I can't tell that H9 does a better job than Helix at harmonizing. Congrats, L6. Other than its "whammability", the H9 is brilliant, and it's going to be a perfect complement for the Helix, for those moments where my patch needs that extra cpu intensive block and the Helix is already breaking a sweat. Compact size, which I welcome, as I'm already taking up nearly as much stage space as our keyboardist. Stereo, perfect for one of the stereo loops in Helix, that I can put wherever I want in the chain. I don't want to go into all the "oranges and apples" arguments, I know they're not the same kind of beast, I'm just SO HAPPY that I have both and how they fit together.

My first problem with POD HD500X is that, it switches itself to preset A (FS5) and sometimes I can not go to other presets or open the tuner. This problem is temporary, sometimes it works fine. This happens especially when I press FS1 to activate an effect. I tried to install the latest firmware, and did the global reset on the unit by holding the LEFT ARROW (<) button as I plug-in the Power adapter. But the problem was not solved. I suspect of a switch error. Another problem I face is when pitch shifting, the sound is not sustained, but delayed. As if there is an echo on. I do not have any other effect on. Just amp/cab simulation is on with pitch shifter. Is there any solution to above problems? Thanks in advance
