I have a Helix with Variax (James Tyler) guitar and I have a Mac mini with it currently attached. A Tascam US 2x2. I regularly play music or watch Youtubes with tests etc. on the Mac, but sometimes I also want to play guitar, either through my headphones or sometimes through my presonus-eris-e5-xt-active-studio monitors. Now I always have the problem that I always have to start a Tascam app because the guitar is of course mono so if I just switch from my mini to guitar, I have to switch from stereo to mono, otherwise an irritant noise. Any idea for an external music card or mixer where I can connect all this directly and (easily) jump from one to the other? p.s. at the moment I am not running Big Sur (yet) because this will probably cause problems with my Helix.

Hello everyone. I have a Variax JTV 69 and in connection with my Helix I have the problem that after a while with different presets my alternative tunings no longer behave correctly. For example: I have an acoustic guitar with an E major tuning, which suddenly takes effect on all of my presets after a while. I also programmed some sounds a semitone higher, these also no longer work after a while. If I unplug the Variax cable and plug it in again, it works fine for a while.. I have a Helix Floor and a Helix Rack, the same problem with both. My colleague has a Shuriken, which does not have the problem with the same presets. Does anyone have an idea? Many Thanks Markus

Hi ! Since i bought this Guitar the problem is still there (JTV-69 HSS Sunburst) The Alt Tune roller knob for easily accessing instrument sounds and alternate tunings (problems) ect ... WHAT IS GOING ON ? I use the Variax very rarely ...this is why i am late to show all the mess on this Guitar JTV-69 ... **The Alternative Tuning doesn't work at all** ... the normal tuning is heard at the same time that i use all the alternatives tuning ( 2 string sound at the same time)...a mess that i can't fixe ! **The cap of the selective button has fallen to the ground for nothing** ... i fix it but at the same time, by pasting the selection Cape button, **I glimpsed that the pickguard is not well bonded and lets a lot of light of the electronics pass through** (just below the pickups selector) ... again shame on Line 6. **The Selective guitar button doesn't work at all** ... when i switch it off by pressing on, it stay illumined or it flash !? It's difficult to Switch it off or to Switch it On at the first try ... i have to try many time with a lot of patience !... its make me crazy: A LOT ! But the most strange thing OF ALL is that i do not have acces to monkey & TO my email adress in Line 6 website : WHAT IS GOING ON ! ... & we are on a ticket since 3 weeks : BRAVO !
