Olá! I´m having problems to input a Microphone in XLR entrance in . The JM4 Looper doesn´t keep the parameters on configuration and the sounds are really awfully bad. Otherwise at AUX entrance it becomes better, but still sufferable. Does anyone can help me on this matter? Elbows for Everybody!

Hello, Yesterday I had rehearsal with my band and we tried a new studio. The technician of the room connected the XLR output of my mighty Helix to a XLR connected to the wall. He said that from there the signal was going directly to the room mixer. Doing like this there was a lot of ground noise! The technician then placed a DI box between Helix XLR and the XLR plug wall, and so the noise went away and I played without any problem. I am worried about experiencing the same problem again in different rooms and - especially - during live concerts. Do you know why this happened? Should I buy a DI box and keep it always with me when using a Helix? Many thanks!

Hi all I've been using my Helix successfully with the Friedman ASM12(1/4 output set to Line out), but recently I decided to setup the XLR output for plugging into the PA(XLR output set to MIC). The PA really doesn't like it at all, it breaks up quite badly, i have to really back off the volume to keep it from doing it. I tried using the 'line' output setting but that was worse. It's like the signal is just too hot for the PA, yet my Friedman sounds great. If I have to mess with Global EQ then isn't it going to mess with how the Friedman sounds!! What am I missing ? Andy

I've been using a POD HD500X and Variax through a PA for about 6 months. Yesterday I bought a DT25 combo and my mind was blown by the possibilities. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole thing. My rig is at the rehearsal room so I can't test this. Can someone tell me if the following is possible or if there is a workaround. I have the POD connected to the DT25 via L6 LINK. I have the Variax plugged into the POD via VDI. When I was playing with acoustic patches they sounded like crap going through the DT25. Acoustic guitars (even models) never sound good through a guitar amp. Can I specify for the Acoustic patches, that the output is the XLR (to the FOH mixer) and for the guitar patches, the output is the DT25? Is the output setting "GLOBAL" or is it by patch? I thank you in advance for your help. Nick Paonessa
