johnny_cass
Hi can anyone point me in the right direction for inexpensive recording software. I downloaded garageband last night and it loaded my computer up with spyware so i had to do a full re install of windows. I'm only playing guitar for 6 months and i have never heard a playback of myself.
BillBee
Hey There Dooode :-) Check out Reaper (sort of free and real inexpensive) - and Riffworks T4. Google will find them and they are pretty good. Riffworks T4 is proably the easiest to get started with. -B
radatats
Checkout Tracktion. I have used them all and this is the easiest, most intuitive I have found. Free to try, cheap to buy. http://www.tracktion.com/
TheRealZap
garageband is apple only... so if you downloaded it and installed it on windows...... then you were likely not looking in legitimate places... and yes... spyware/malware is common on those avenues.... i suggest mixcraft.... its about as close to garageband as you'll ever find on windows... fflbrgst
You haven't mentioned what gear you have, but you need some type of interface to get your guitar sound INTO the computer, like the UX2 or Sonic Port.
