frac82
hello everybody! i'd like to know if with Pod Farm i can hook-up my guitar right into my laptop mic/line-in w/Asio4All or connect the guitar to a Echo Indigo I/O without having any specific L6 device. thanx
silverhead
You don't need a specific Line 6 device if you purchase the hardware independent license for Pod Farm. But you do need an ASIO-compliant device as your audio interface. That rules out your laptop mic/line in w/Asio4All. Asio4All is not a compliant ASIO driver and is known to cause problems with software that requires true ASIO compliance, like Pod Farm. Triryche
+1 to silverhead. But you could could still record and add the POD Farm plug-in afterwards, assuming your DAW is compatible with VST plug-ins. However, investing in a decent ASIO interface is well worth it. Even if it is entry level for the time being.

Pod Farm that comes bundled with L6 gear isn't hardware indipendent, is it?
silverhead
Doesn't matter what the connection type is; the important thing is that it is an ASIO device. You are correct. A Pod Farm license bundled with a Line 6 product is not hardware independent. It requires the Line 6 product to be connected.
