Line 6 POD HD500x - sound breaks on the bridge pickup of guitar.

Hello all.

I am using the Line 6 POD HD500x processor and noticed something strange. With one of my guitars (Vintage V100, which is the replica of Gibson Les Paul) when I switch to bridge pickup, the sound goes off just right away I do this, or after a few seconds. With neck pickup everything is Ok and POD works nice. If I try to reduce volume with the bridge pot, POD works a bit longer (it seems so), but then sound can disappear or not, this seems to be completely occasionally. The pickups are the ordinary passive humbackers. With another guitar POD works Ok both with bridge or neck or humbucker or single. Please advice me, what should I check in order to use POD with Vintage's bridge pickup? Probably there is a short circuit somewhere, or I need to change some settings in POD itself? I tried to Guitar in switch "Pad" setting, but this does not help. Also I have connected the guitar to POD through DI-box to POD's Line-in and everything is the same - occasional lost of sound right after switching bridge pickup or a few seconds later. But, sometimes POD can work a few minutes with Vintage's bridge pickup. I am confused a bit, because both humbuckers on Vintage are the same. Please help.

I would check out the wiring in the guitar. I can't see how it could be anything else but the guitar.

+1...sounds like an issue with the toggle switch. When in doubt, blast it with contact cleaner. If that doesn't do it, then you may have a loose wire somewhere, or the switch itself could be toast.

I agree with all the above - it's most likely the toggle switch - it's either dirty or faulty.  Try cleaning it first and if that doesn't fix it then replace it.  They don't cost much.  The Vintage V100's like many budget guitars do have the cheapest and most fragile toggle switches.
