rmoskal74
I see that the Helix can support multiple amps which is a huge selling point for me. However, in my experience, there is often a lot of trouble shooting to eliminate noise, hum, ground loops, etc. when putting together a rig with two amps via 4CM (or in this case 7CM). Is this an issue with the Helix?
stevekc
or in this case 7CM In September, post a pic of your 7 cable method multi-amp setup !

Is this an issue with the Helix? Well, ground loops are always a possibility, and it's not really the fault of any single device you're connecting. It's really a complex issue. I have tried Helix connected via the 4CM with my Egnater Renegade, and I had no issue with noise. I haven't tried the 7CM. I actually don't know if I have enough cables laying around to do it! I rarely run into issues with a single amp (a mini rec or mini mark) but when I try to run both through my rig I have to add hum eliminators somewhere in the chain. Not a big deal if I have to continue to do that was just being optimistic that it would be a simpler plug-n-play type thing. Guess we will wait and see... bartnettle1
I think anyone using multiple amps will be a touring professional and likely know or have the Techie available to ensure there are no phase issues. This ability to run multiple amps is going to lure even bigger selling professional to the Helix. It is a huge plus for getting tones that near rival expensive touring rigs. Lets hope the FX count increases
Tboneous
As soon as Line 6 expands Helixs ability to fully control it's fantastic DT series amps via L6 link, then hooking up 4 amps is a snap with no noise at all!
