oehman
Have the specs on the Looper been posted? I'm wondering if the record time has been increased from HD500X.
silverhead
The Helix looper has a maximum recording time of 2 minutes (120 seconds), compared to the Hd500X max of 48 seconds.
phil_m
Silverhead is right, but just to put a finer point on it. You'll only get that 120 seconds when running the looper in mono and recording your loop after you've pressed the half speed switch. In stereo, the max loop time is 60 seconds. Operationally, the looper on the Helix is identical to the looper on the 500X. The main differences are that you have a choice between inserting a mono or stereo looper, and you can put the looper block wherever you want in the chain. Also, the looper isn't automatically in every patch. If you want it in a patch, you have to insert it.

Yep, even on its own path to its own output, so the FOH guy (or gal) can mix the looper independently.
guitargeek6287
Can multiple looper blocks be added?
Digital_Igloo
Can multiple looper blocks be added? Just one looper per preset for now.
bartnettle1
What about editable start end times and/or crossfade length?
guitargeek6287
Cheers @Digital_Igloo, I actually got to try one with Paul yesterday in Soho - I'm pleased to say it sounded great, and the looper was really simple to use too. It'd be nice to add a second (sync'd) looper block later on, but I understand that it's probably a small market to offer it too.
