carnagevisors
I was playing with my spider iv 75 and suddenly it stopped and the panel went crazy as you can see in the picture. I can't change anything. Any solution for that? thanks
fflbrgst
Have you tried a manufacturer reset? With the power off, hold the A button in while turning the power on, keeping it held in for 5-8 seconds. If this doesn't help, then you will need to bring the amp to an authorized service center for evaluation.
carnagevisors
hello. Yeah, I've tried that and it doesn't do anything. thanks anyway.
Dcomer1977
Did you ever get this fixed? Mine did the exact same thing the other day. I bought it about two months ago so its under warranty.
fflbrgst
If the factory reset doesn't help, return it for replacement/fix.

Black Squares are never good. If you can't get a reflash to take it has to go back to the mothership.
Young_Peter
Im not sure if there "is" a service center where I live (Rio de Janeiro). Update firmware wont help?
fflbrgst
You can try a factory reset. You can try firmware update (Line 6 Monkey won't do anything but update). For warranty/repair: http://line6.com/support/warranty-repair/ There is only one location shown in Brazil, in Sao Paulo.
Young_Peter
Im thinking about the update but i want to be sure that it will help, before I buy a FBV ps: factory reset doesnt work

psarkissian
Black box display,... the main board needs to be replaced by a Line 6 authorized service center. Make certain the product is registered and then log a support ticket to get the process going.
harv1944
Had the same problem on a spider iv 150. Turned out to be the 3.3v rail reading 2.6v only. replacing the regulator chip cured it but it does require board level repairs. Not advisable whilst under warranty

psarkissian
Black box display,... has to go to a Line 6 authorized service center. It is not a self repair thing.

Spider IVs are old amps, if you found a new one to buy, it would be covered in dust from being hidden away somewhere for years! The number of 'problems' is no different than any other electronic device - look at the sheer number of units sold.

Deltastreet
Hello All,does anybody know what I could use my non-working spyder IV 75 for ? I would guess that the speaker is still good for something? I hate to just throw this out. Thanks. Brian
fflbrgst
You could: 1) take the amp to an authorized repair center for evaluation 2) use the speaker (note it is a full range speaker, so won't sound the same as a typical guitar-only amp speaker)
