I'm finally happy and Helix did the trick for me.

I've been in search of the right sound and setup for several years now and have tried all kinds of solutions down that road:

Digitech GNX4 (loved the all-in-one approach with Amps & Effects, Drums, Recorder), Digitech RP300 / RP1000 / iPB10, Line 6 Toneport UX8 / KB37 / UX1, Line 6 Pod, Boss GT10 / GT100, Zoom R8, Vox ToneLab ST / EX, NI Guitar Rig.

Also tried some Amps (Line 6 Amplifi, Marshall MG50, Marshall AFD100 with 1960 4x12) plus a Line 6 M13. Sound wise good but with a cumbersome handling for DAW recording or jamming to backing tracks.

I was never really satisfied with any of the above.

Until I got my Helix a few weeks ago   :)!

I've added a BOSS RC-300 LoopStation and two StageSource speakers (1x L2t, 1x L2m) to the setup.

Now I've got an incredibly sounding rig with amazing routing & recording flexibility.

Some 3rd party IRs (Ownhammer) put the icing on the cake for me.

Probably all I ever need. I'm finally happy.   :D

I play with my band and I also play church I have really enjoyed the helix but I haven't played too much around with the band lately since I've gotten I started to play at church again and always had issues even with my 11 rack. I love the 11 rack but there was just a lot of stuff to carry and a lot more hooking up and everything, but helix is pretty nice I can just run a couple of XLR's to the snake and hook up my two expression pedals and plug in my guitar and my G 50 relay, it makes it much easier and not to mention that I have much better control now than I ever did. I totally love it.

Third gig with the Helix this weekend.  Still balancing out the preset to preset volumes but that's about it. Loving' the thing!

I'd started changing all my patches so that each one has at least 2 different foot switch accessible sounds thinking I'll use fewer presets that way...  NOPE.

Now I have 8 presets instead of 7 and most have 2 very different sounds - one has 3!!  LOL.

That's the same thing I struggle with!  I get the sounds just like I want and then switch patches and poof!  Barely hear a thing.  It would be nice to have some sort of output meter to better level things out instead of my poor ears
