Charlie_Watt
I would go for a decent PA speaker. I have not heard much good here about the Ampifi.
cruisinon2
Second post sorry but no response 😠just wondering if amplfi would be a good full range speaker to use with Helix thanks It's redundant. Amplifi is already a modeler. It's like stuffing a golf cart into the cab of a monster truck, then wondering why it's difficult to drive. Just get a decent FRFR speaker and you will be golden. Don't need to spend a fortune. The Alto's that are talked about sounds here so often are only a couple of hundred bucks, and a lot of guys are very happy with the results.

I don't always agree with you although I do in this case. Your posts have to be some of the funniest on the forum when you are not savaging some hapless soul (and sometimes even then). I dread ever being the target of your rapier wit but definitely find myself chuckling on a regular basis at your posts. Most entertaining! If you write songs I would love to see some of your lyrics! Neon_Goats
I use my Helix into the Aux in of an Amplifi 150 (so bypassing the built in modelling) it works fine - however it's not loud enough to gig with, it's fine for bedroom volume or home studio monitoring though. I already had the Amplifi but I wouldn't buy one specially for this job - you'd be better off plugging in to the the effects return of a decent amp if you need live/band volumes. MIKEY9966
Amplfi will have nothing to do with a modeler going into the back will bypass every thing and just use the power section and the 5 speakers, regardless I own 2 of them now, and am will use them for my acoustic sounds, and 2 Dt if25 for the electric sound. Maybe all for at the same time, if my helix ever arrives,
Leftzilla
cruisinon2 is right that the modeling aspect of the Amplifi is redundant, but I do use a amplifi 75 as a monitor for practice and run the Helix into the aux input. If you want to use and Amplifi as a stage monitor I would go for the larger version as the 75 watt version doesn't cut it with my band. Charlie_Watt
For the same $$ you can get a very good Powered PA speaker with plenty of balls.
