im_helix
Hey all. Just wondering if anyone has an acoustic amp emulator I can download for Helix? :)
PeterHamm
Don't need an "acoustic amp emulator"..Try this.Download IRs from one or all of these spots. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1XgNa5vH3j1ZkVoTFJLQ241WTg/view https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5YMP7cdVF-LTWE5TkFrb0ZTUGc&usp=drive_web https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f2qdh9jtcl6s5cv/AACRlEt-UVeLAhuvV4YwMY7Wa?dl=0 Now, set up a path that goes from your acoustic pickup and goes...IR (pick the IR that sounds best with your guitar BEFORE adding anything else)EQ (cut the frequencies that sound bad, boost a little high end, shelf the low end to about 60 or 80 hz or more if you like.LA Studio Comp (set it subtle).any volume pedal, delays, or verbs you want.Your piezo-equipped guitar will knock your socks off!

im_helix
Thanks! I'll look into it sometime. I think I managed an acoustic sound using one of the amps in the listing. Er, I can't remember the name of the amp, but it sounds pretty acoustic to me

The Helix Preamp>Mic>Studio Tube Pre or Cali Bass amp work well with acoustic instruments for me, aloing with the LA Comp and 10 Band EQ's the guys mention above. Mag2Acoustic Piezofier IR I created will convert your mag pickups to a piezo-like signal for user with PeterHamm's and amsdenj's acoustic body type IR's. http://line6.com/support/topic/21868-acoustic-guitar-piezofier-ir-for-mag-pickups-posted-updated-72616/

Sorry I been off the face of earth for ages. Um, yeah more like an acoustic guitar simulator. I think I managed making it out using the US Small Tweed amp, playing around with its settings. It's pretty close now. I learned that you can't really get the exact acoustic sound since it's an electric guitar, but I'm pretty happy with how I set it up.
