Andy1175
Is it possible to assign blocks to the six buttons/knobs beneath the display, so I can jumpt to them quickly and easily? Also, how do I use snapshots on the rack? There's nothing about them in the manual which I suppose is pre-update. Thanks -
MusicLaw
The Snapshots feature is covered in the current HELIX User Guide Rev D PDF, available for download from the HELIX support area on Line 6's website. The thumb drive included with your HELIX may contain an earlier version.
PeterHamm
If you want to get the most out of the Rack, including using snapshots and assigning blocks to turn on/off, you will want Control. I think what you are describing can't be done. You need Control (and you want it, trust me).
spikey
I Agree- you want that controller, and for snapshots you need that controller...
Andy1175
I see. OK thanks for your replies. I got the rack precisely because I didn't want the pedal board, I already have the HD500X and don't have room for another one. It would be easy enough to add the features I suggested, but I suppose they'd rather I buy more of their hardware. Hay-ho. -

Hay-ho. - You will never enjoy all the capabilities of the Rack without Control as you would with. It's night and day. I know what you're saying and appreciate it, but I think Rack without Control would just frustrate the heck out of a person, especially if they want to use snapshots and stomps and such. Budget for it is my advice...
