harvey1
Hi there, I'm looking for an EX1 for my M13 and can't seem to find one. The retailers in my country (australia) have stopped listing them and even the Line 6 store says they are 'sold out'. Are they discontinued? Is anyone using a different exp pedal? Cheers
phil_m
I don't believe they're discontinued. Occasionally, the stuff in the Line 6 store is sold out because there are delays from suppliers or other things. The pedal still seems to be available from most online retailers in the US. If you want a pedal that's more heavy duty, I'd suggest you look at the Mission Engineering EP1-L6. I'm not sure what their policy is regarding shipping internationally, though.

negativefx
The Ernie Ball VP Jr. pedal is a great expression pedal as well. I've been using one for years and have had no problems with it.
harvey1
Thanks, neg fX. I have found a second hand Mission L6 model that should arrive next week. Thanks for the tip, Phil. But the EB VP Jnr looks great and is good value. If I hadn't found the Mission at a good deal I probably would have gone for a new jnr. Maybe when I'm ready to retire my homemade 10k pot in a cry baby case exp pedal (can't provide a full rotation). Good to know the EB is another solid looking option. Cheers. Mincer
For anyone else looking, I just got a Dunlop DVP3 Volume X . This can be used as an expression pedal (with a 10k pot) or a passive volume pedal (with a 250k pot) depending on which jack you use. In order for it to be used with the M series, you would have to adjust the internal trim to max and press the 'reverse sweep' button inside. But then it is a great expression pedal for the M series (probably for the DL4 and HD-series too). Heavy duty, not too expensive, with adjustment for the rocker tension. I have used an EX-1 which is a terrible, creaky pedal for the money, as well as an EB jr 25k pedal, which doesn't sweep accurately. The Dunlop does, and the bottom plate, which is rubber coated metal, can be reversed showing just metal- great to attach velcro to.

I was about sending the pedal back when I found this one.
aallenmark
Does anyone know if there is any kind of "mini"-expression pedal that works with m5/m9/m13? AMT and Hotone have pedals but they don´t work with my m9. A full size pedal won´t fit on my pedalboard.
