mapletop
is there a way to make downloads say of custom tone to go into a folder on my desk top.instead of the down load folder?
jbuhajla
You can just move the file from the Download folder into a folder you create on your desk top.
Verne-Bunsen
There is probably a setting in whatever browser you are using that determines where downloaded materials are directed. You could change that but then everything would go there. Since everything you download is not (presumably) custom tones it would probably just be easier to drag them to another folder as jbuhajla suggests. zooey
Most browsers have a setting where it asks you each time. I find that easiest, since I'm not always downloading the same kinda of files.
MusicLaw
Most well designed Applications offer Preferences allowing a User to designate their preferred settings rather than OEM defaults for things such as the name and location of a download folder, backup folder, data folder, etc. I do not use the existing Helix Editor. Let's hope the forthcoming newly overhauled Helix Editor is superior and vastly improved. Edited March 22, 2017 by MusicLaw

Never asked the specific question at NAMM. It surely should be a welcome release! And, if it includes a comprehensive overhaul of the firmware Updating process, it could prove it's merit if it were to appear with fw 2.20. Let's hope to see the Helix Editor sooner than later....
