peewee101
I have a MK1 212 combo and want to put it in a head cabinet. Does anyone know it any line 6 head cabinets will work or be close enough to make it work with some mods?
BillBee
Hey there, best thing to do is look up the specs and compare. Spider 3 HD Dimensions: 26.4L x 9.25H x 10.75D SV MKI 212: Dimensions: 26.75" L x 21.75" H x 11.25" D For width and depth look short for S3 HD, but check the other versions. I have a 212 SV head conversion btw and it is nice - 40w tube is still really loud (and its lighter). IIRC the guy made it by chopping the cab in half. psarkissian
Someone on the Spider Valve MkII Facebook Group page did just that. Put a Spider Valve MkI combo chassis into a Spider IV HD-150 Head cab. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=489022704787704&set=gm.1670408032970681&type=3&theater&ifg=1 ... might want to pick his brain regarding that. peewee101
Thanks guys, I am trying to find the dimensions of the Spider IV HD-150 Head cab but no luck yet. Also just picked up a ADA GCS-3 DI Cabinet simulator. If this gives me a signal to the board that sounds like more 4x12 than my combo miked, I may just leave the combo as is for a stage monitor. If not I will make the head cab and carry the 4x12 around.
BillBee
The SIV 150 HD specs off of American music supply were: S4 HD: (WxHxD): 27.5 x 10.75 x 11 inches SV MKI 212: Dimensions: 26.75" L x 21.75" H x 11.25" D Close and the height looks like the same as the SVHD100 head. That 2x12 is a heavy beast.
frac82
maybe I'm late, but some resources I found online while I was trying to answer a similar question: stage craft gear by mission engineering Mojotone TT Cabs
