Anyone ever replace a Helix footswitch?

One of my Helix footswitches is no longer touch responsive when I go to edit the effects assigned to it. Has anyone ever replaces a footswitch on the Helix? Does it requre any soldering? I don't have a whole lot of experience with a soldering iron...

It's about replacing the footswitch LCDs but you'll see what you're getting into. Based on what I saw, I see no screws so it may be hard to do. Although you may be able to find some screws that will work.

I’m about to do this switch replacement now. I’m hoping to find some more details on how exactly to do it. Especially switch orientation and how flat to the board it should be

On my Stomp one foot switch's touch function was defective. It was a faulty TVS diode (GG040205170N2P) on the foot switch board.

 

Because it's a tiny smd part (0.6 mm x 1.0 mm) it's not easy to replace it using a soldering iron. With a heat gun and some soldering paste it's easier.

 

You can also order a replacement foot switch board from one of the Service Centers.

Wow thanks, you can order a replacement foot switch board. I’ll try that as long as it’s not 20- dollars. Line 6 isn’t cheap
