drakejohnson
Having not used my HD500 for a few months, when I went to use it this week, my PC didnt recognize the device through the USB port. The drivers won't load and install correctly, now Monkey wont run (and I have tried Monkey on 2 different PCs) - my wife spent 30 mins on the phone with tech support to no avail. I am ended up resetting (re-installing) windows on my main pc. Then re-installed Monkey. Same crap. I am hoping someone here can advise having had similar issues?? Otherwise I am done with Line6, this being my 2nd board and 3rd product overall. Terrible experience.
pianoguyy
Does the device work? I mean, certainly before you go dumping a device over a USB issue, I would want to know if the device worked. LOL
GTRString
On Mac Monkey starting freezes on contacting Line6 Servers
joel_brown
Have you tried it on a different PC ? Does you PODHD work at all ? I know your frustrated but computers will be frustrating - ALL OF THEM, and everything today is a computer.
drakejohnson
The board itself works fine, it's the connection to the PC (so I can edit tones) that is the issue. I have tried two different USB cables and unfortunately its the same issue with both. One of the issues is that when I try to manually update the drivers (downloaded locally to my machine prior) I get a message that Windows has already determined the best drivers. This has happened consistently across 3 different PCs.
drakejohnson
It looks closer to the 1st port, but not exactly. The 4th pin slot is a thicker piece at the bottom inside the connector. I dont think it is a bent pin, its looks like it is made that way because it is thicker than the others??
drakejohnson
Aha, got it - thanks very much for your help.
Doomtage
I literally have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM. It was a few months of not playing on my PODHD500x and it gave me the same driver updating nonsense for USB. Incase I have to fix the USB slot, does this mean shipping to Line6 for repair? My rectangular piece is still intact.
