SweetDaveG
I know i can download different amps from Fender Fuse so my question is does a generic amp setting exist so that an IR or cab model would transmit accurately?
rd2rk
Not sure what you're asking? If you're asking can a Fender Fuse preset be imported to HX Stomp, that would be a no.
SweetDaveG
Yeah, good point, i really am not expressing the question properly as my knowledge on this topic is minimal at best... Basically I would love to use an IR thru my amp without having to get a qsc or drx. The super champ can be adapted to other fender amps so i assume it can be modeled in lots of different ways with all of them attempting to have a simulated tube amp sound. From reading thru quite a few discussions it appears sending a celestial IR to my fender amp is defeating the purpose of the IR so given the super champ has a channel that is digital can i make it work? The knowledge base and wiliness of folks to share ideas, feedback is why i am asking here, trying to on Fenders site as well but that forum is... As long as you're monitoring through the Fender, the answer unfortunately is no. Without the clean clean slate of an FRFR output, you're stuck with whatever the inherent characteristics of the speakers in your amp happen to be. As you already know, pumping a Celestion IR through a Fender speaker won't make it sound like a Marshall.
SweetDaveG
Thanks for confirming what i feared. now i can put out a post asking for the best frfr speaker option just to watch it all burn
rd2rk
Your amp doesn't have a proper effects loop. It has a line out, which would allow you to take your Fender amps/effects presets out to the HXS with the IR loaded, but there's no way to bring that back to the X2, which would be a waste anyway since you'd then be sending an IR of a guitar speaker back thru a different guitar speaker. You'd need a FRFR speaker or studio monitors to get the benefit of the IR. Sorry, it's just not gonna work. If you've already got the HXS, what do you need the X2 for? Trade it for a good FRFR speaker and be done with it! As for the best FRFR speaker, don't bother starting a new thread. Just search for FRFR here and/or over on GearPage. There's at least 20 existing threads covering every aspect of that topic!

bobcoss
You could always take the effects send from the Helix to the FSC and the output of the FSC into a reactive load box and back into the effects return to an IR. Though I wouldn't bother, I would pick a appropriate helix amp model. It all depends on what you want to do with the FSC. I'm running my helix into a headrush frfr 12, and it sounds good, I also run it direct in to FOH and I'm quite happy to the tone in the house, and in my in-ears. It's nice carrying only a guitar, helix, and my coffee to gig.
