Abdullateef
Hi guys I have recently bought a line6 Helix LT and I am a bit confused about what I should connect it to. I have read many articles and they all recommend connecting it to a powered cabinet or a pair of studio monitors. For me, the studio monitors option sounds ideal since I already have a pair of monitors. However, I am not sure how I can connect the Helix to the studio monitors. Currently, I connect the Helix to my computer, run Logic pro and then add an audio track so I can hear the Helix. Is there any way I can connect the Helix directly to the monitors without having to run Logic Pro? Manu thanks.
phil_m
It's best if you can connect the monitors directly to the Helix.
spikey
Just thinking out loud here, but the studio monitors you have are "powered", correct?
Abdullateef
Yes, they are powered.

Hi, As you already have the powered monitors, just connect them to your Helix via 1/4” or XLR and connect the Helix LT to your Mac with a USB cable. In Logic Pro X you can select the Helix LT as the audio in/out device to record your guitar and play back full audio mixes. Check your owner’s manual for full details of the connections page 55. You will be able to playback iTunes, YouTube or any other audio from your Mac and the LT acts as your soundcard. Hope this helps.

Just tried connecting the monitors directly to Helix and then connected Helix to the mac through a usb cable and this worked perfectly. Many thanks for your help. 1
