HX Effects - have to save preset each time?

can someone confirm if there's a way to keep stomp changes you make in a preset without having to manually hit save everytime? E.g. when using my main preset in a song, I'll turn the delay on for a portion, then switch to another preset for a clean part, then when I switch back to my main preset, the delay is off because that's the way the preset is saved. Is there a feature to set it so it remembers the way you last left your preset and load it that way? I know it does this in snapshot mode but I want it in preset mode.

No, it's not possible.

You'll just have to copy the preset to another location, engage the delay, then turn it off before you start the song, so when you activate, switch patches, and then switch back its ON.

If you are able to make your presets into a single preset and utilize snapshots to change tones... then if you make a change in one snapshot, switch to another, then back to the original, the change will still be there.  All changes will go away if you switch presets without saving, but they will remain when switching between snapshots within the current preset.

BUT.. In Global settings/Preferences/Snapshot Edits needs to be set to RECALL:

Snpsht Edits
Determines whether or not any edits made to a snapshot (block on/off, parameter control, Command Center, tempo) are remembered when returning to that snapshot. When set to "Recall," any snapshot edits are recalled when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as you last left them. When set to "Discrd," any snapshot edits are discarded when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as the preset was last saved. If you want to save changes made to a snapshot while Snapshot Edits is set to "Discrd,” press SAVE twice before selecting another.
