Rustykuntz
So just randomly, the volume knob just stopped working and it just blasts the volume at what my speakers at, anyone know how to fix this?
rd2rk
If you just did the update, restore your Global Settings.
JLondon
My first thought is that you should check your global settings and make sure that the volume knob is set to the output you are using (XLR, 1/4, or whatever). Just set the volume knob to "Multi" and it should fix it unless you have a more serious problem. For instance, if the global setting for the Vol knob is set to XLR or Digital, but you're using the 1/4 output jack, your speakers are going to get 100% volume (line signal) regardless of where the knob is turned. Rustykuntz
I have the volume knob set to multi and it still doesn't work. It works with the first preset when I fire it up and then i switch presets and the volume knob doesn't work again.

rd2rk
Steps - assuming that the hardware is showing v2.91: 1- Factory reset. 2- Open a support ticket.
elirian666
I've just encountered the same problem. It was very frustrating, at some point it stopped responding to any edits or changing presets. But I closed HX Edit and then restarted a few times and it went back to normal - try that workaround, but I hope they'll address this problem... It should take care of this issue.

vishalmishra
I have had the same issue on and off. This time it is not going away. Today I upgraded to F/W ver 3.6.0.0. I also performed a factory reset after the F/W update. The “Vol Knob Controls” is set to "Multi". Nothing has helped. It seems the problem is in the Vol Knob Control setting. When I changes the setting I can hear a little blip in the sound as the setting changes. Both from the headphones and the 1/4" plugged into my amp. So its doing something. But no matter what the setting value is, turing the Volume knob has no effect. Regardless of patch. I have checked all the factory patches. After installing F/W 3.6.0.0, I have restarted the Helix LT unit and the HXEdit multiple times. Everything else seems to work fine except the Vol Knob. I am out of ideas. Anything else left to try?
