Tweaked05
As the title describes, I am trying to use my Helix as a footswitch to disable the amps reverb, and it does work, but when I push the foot switch it causes the amp to pop loudly for both on and off. Below is my configuration. Guitar>Helix>Monoprice Stage Right 15w amp (4CM); Exp1 to amp footswitch jack. EXP1 configured in Command Center for channel switching using Footswitch 5 as follows. Command = Ext Amp. Select = 1 and 2. Type = Latching. Looking for ideas how to make it stop popping. Otherwise it works fine to turn on and off the amps reverb. rd2rk
I'm guessing that the OEM footswitch has some sort of capacitor attached to the switch that prevents the POP. That's how Stompbox mfrs deal with it.

Do you have the manufacturer (OEM) footswitch for this amp? Does it work without popping? As @rd2rk mentions... you may have to wire a capacitor and/or resistor across the tip/sleeve of the cable you use between the Helix and Reverb control of the amp. I don't know the value off the top of my head... but that info is easy to find.

Based on what you guys are saying I'd guess that fender one has a resistor.

I don't know for certain if they do or don't these days. There is an easy way to test "a basic footswitch operation" with your amp. Plug a cable into your reverb on/off jack Short the end of the cable with a wire. (jump the tip to the sleeve) If it pops... the pop is inherent to the amp, the Helix is not the cause of the problem. If it doesn't pop, then the Helix might be doing something a little differently.
CraigGT
Try changing your "Select" option to 1(tip).
