jammin4joy
Hi All, I have seen this question posted before, clear back to 2016 but no answers so since its been some time thought I would try again. I use Helix Rack, my Helix controller main display is about 50% brightness compared to the display brightness of the controller Foot switches/Scribble Scripts. Its very hard to see the tuner this way and I don't see any method to increase brightness. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
ACSlater
Subtle kick of this topic. The upper screen on the Rack Control is obviously dimmed and looks like it could be a lot brighter when compared to the scribble strips. Is there any way to change the brightness? Nothing in the manual about this, or at least I couldn't find it.
MayPRS
@ACSlater I think that you can only adjust the brightness of the led switches but not of the screen itself.

Dim/Bright setting is as follows: 1. you set up your snapshot buttons to an explicit color, e.g. red, blue, white as opposed to "Auto Color". 2. In global settings / Display, you select "Dim/Bright" 3. when you are not in that specific snapshot, you will see the outline of the ring color, dimmed. Like it'll be dark-red as opposed to bright red. Or dark-blue, or dark-yellow. To disable that behavior: 4. In global settings / Display, you select "Off/Bright" 5. Your rings will turn off when you are not in that specific snapshot. This feature is there so you can better see where your buttons are. To me it's more confusing as I can confuse a dimmed color with the "engaged" color when I'm playing onstage. This does not affect the display brightness, that is fixed. see my video:

Yeah thought so.. too bad. It just so strange there's no possibility to up the brightness of the upper screen on the Rack Control. @theElevators thanks for explaining but that's not the option I'm looking for; my question was specific about the Rack Control. Unfortunately the main top lcd in the Helix Control board isnt the same type of screens used for the scribble strips. They could work around that limit implementing the option to switch to inverted pixel color to improve contrast.
