[Feature Request] Option For BPM Adjustment Knob Only Whole Numbers

Hi.  I often want to adjust my Helix to a specific tempo and it is always a whole number.  When I tap on the tempo button, I get a knob that allows directly dialing a specific tempo, but the BPM is measured in tenths.  I would love an option to restrict this to only whole numbers to make dialing it in much faster.  As it is, if I'm going from 72 to 100 BPM, it is a pain.  It takes many turns of the dial and extra time to make sure I'm at exactly "point zero."

Nobody from Line 6 is likely to spot your request here as this is a user group and very rarely visited by Line 6 staff.

The place to post suggestions for any changes is Ideascale.

When you have done that you can add your suggestion to this area to let others know:-

 

If you really don’t like turning dials you could always use HX Edit and use a keyboard to type in the specific BPM you require.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll post the idea on the other site.  Too bad Line 6 isn't more involved in its user forums.

so, you don't tap approx, then turn the knob? if you are doing this in a performance, why not store the tempo on a scene? Sorry, the workflow situation really isn't clear to me.

There is also the same limitation with global EQ -- on your computer you can have fractions, but on the Helix itself you can only have whole numbers.  I, like many, use the editor.  It's just so much easier and faster to do it on the computer.  For some quick fixes, I tweak things on the Helix itself.  But most of the time I don't tweak things live because my presets have already been adjusted during rehearsals.  When I first started using the Helix, I brought the laptop to the rehearsal to make adjustments.  

 

So unless you are having a continuous delayed note throughout the whole song, fractions or even a few digits off is not going to be a big issue.  Tap in the tempo and save it.  Or use an editor and save the presets.
