Kitchen sink preset - Soldano Clean odd noise

So I made an All In One style preset to use for a new project that will cover from country - rock stuff.  I like having a dedicated set of favorite blocks to work with when building song specific presets.  I was not happy with my previous attempts so to day I decided to create one using the Soldano Clean/Crunch/Lead amps.   I used a dual cab block (Mesa V30/160-1"/Uber T75-409 -1").  I added a room reverb and retro reel as my 'always on blocks'.

I have buttons 7  - Clean(Clean amp), 8 - Grit (Crunch Amp), 9 - Classic (Crunch Amp), 10 - Crunch (Crunch Amp, duh), 11 - Rock (Lead) snapshots.  Following buttons bypass these 'sounds' - Button 1 - Country (Gain block -5.5db first in chain, Tilt EQ 1.2khz 100 Bright, -3db (thanks for that tip), Deluxe Comp.  Button 2 - Dimension Chorus, Button 3 - Boost OD (Teemah), Button 5 Lead Boost (TS808 Gain 1.5, level 8.0 - Delay Block - Gain Block +3db (last in chain).

Overall, I like the tone....but something I noticed...when I'm on my Clean Snapshot I'm hearing some distortion/OD type sound.  Its not a 'clipping' type sound as the clean tone itself is very pleasing and solid.  The only blocks I have engaged on this snapshot (in order):  Amp (Soldano Clean), Dual Cab Block (as mentioned above, no changes), Room Reverb, Retro Reel.  My signal path goes from 1A output > 2A input, so one long chain.  No parallel effects or routing weirdness.  It almost sounds like my guitar input signal is going into the 2A input, into the Soldano Lead Amp.  However, visually the block is off, and the input routing wouldn't allow that.

Its very strange...Its quiet enough that live I probably wouldnt notice it, but dialing this in with headphones it was noticeable.  I'm not at home, so I can't post the preset and I have practice tonight....  but if I hear it tonight at practice when through the PA I'll set it up tonight and post it for further evaluation.

Any shots in the dark where that comes from? Is it normal with that amp model?

You've probably already done this but I would just start toggling everything off and on, one at a time, starting with what is engaged (obviously, I know) and then everything that is not engaged. If the sound of the distortion you're hearing is good it sure sounds like it's coming from some parallel path. Maybe some effects mix parameter is off? That's all I've got for now.

Yeah I didnt have much time to really troubleshoot.  I was planning on doing this.   I dont have any parallel paths, and as far as I can recall being away from my Helix, the only mix %'s that would be in effect would be compressor (pre-amp) or delay/reverb settings.

The sound isnt very loud but I will investigate tonight a bit.

I tried it REALLY LOUD thru my PC212+ (I hit the Heavy Solo FS while on the Rock Snapshot - HOLY $H1T BATMAN!), into the FX Return on my Tweaker, and thru 55ohm AKG k240 HP.

With the Input Pad OFF I tried 2 guitars: PRS S2 C24 with VB/HFS pups and an Ibanez with SD Jazz/JB set.

I did not hear any distortion on the Clean Snapshot, sounds very clean. Suppose it could be a case of "my clean is not your clean", but I don't think so.

I also tried swapping in a couple other Clean amps - JC120 and Archon - same same, no distortion.

Unless you're using REALLY hot pups (you would have looked for that right away), IDK.

Bad cables - EMI/RFI interference - ALIEN COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES (OMG!)

Good Luck finding the problem!

Lol.....   Not sure how to take that 'HOLY $H1T BATMAN!'  lol....     If its a bad one, I only dialed this in in 10 minutes before having to haul my behind to work.   If its a good one....well then thanks.

What I'm hearing isnt really a distortion (like clipping)....its almost like one of the OD/Lead amps that are bypassed are almost running their signal, but at a negative db that is subtle.  I'll have to listen again once my daughter is picked up.  Appreciate you listening.  The dry clean snapshot is meant to be clean/clean....like a jc120 ish style clean, the grit is meant for that Voodoo Labs like Sparkle drive where you get the clean but blended grity.

I'm just glad I didn't try that with HP on... I'd be deaf! LOTTA boost there! Little bit of fine tuning required before the FOH guy murders you! :-)

Oh, haha, yeah probably.  I only did 3db, but again, didnt really get a chance to try it out.  My apologies....
