pipelineaudio1
Or keep a single send from collapsing the following path to mono? I see send 1, 2, 3, 4 and fx loop 1,2,3,4 but no 1/2 or 3/4 for either. In my case this is for a cab going to the xlr but no cab going to the 1/4". I don't like using the separate outs at the very end of the path since that means both paths will show up if I use the preset in Helix native

I don't like using the separate outs at the very end of the path since that means both paths will show up if I use the preset in Helix native Hi, I have no idea what item of the HX family of hardware you’re wanting to know about, but I will guess Helix Floor. If you check the Helix 3.0 Owner’s Manual - Rev F - English - page 38 Send/Return, it explains the functions of each option. For example: “Each of the Helix four sends and returns can be used independently or used together as an FX loop.” Also, each path in the Helix is stereo unless you choose to collapse the path to mono by adding a block that only functions as mono. I’m confused by your comment: “I don't like using the separate outs at the very end of the path since that means both paths will show up if I use the preset in Helix native.” If you should choose to use the preset in Helix Native, the Send/Return functions are bypassed and will not work. Helix Native Pilot’s Guide - Rev P (v3.15) - English - Page 19 - Input & Output Settings - plus - Hardware Blocks (Send, Return, FX Loop & Looper). When Importing a Helix/HX Hardware-exported Preset into Helix Native - These hardware block types are only functional within Helix/HX devices and, therefore, their parameters are not editable. These blocks have no routing functionality within Helix Native. Hope this helps/makes sense.
pipelineaudio1
To clear it up, if I use the XLR and 1/4" Main outs as separate output paths (xlr path having the cabinet and 1/4" path not having a cabinet), both paths will play in helix native, playing the no cab signal alongside the cabinet signal

If you are using hardware, you can send to whatever physical outputs you select, or decide to use. Therefore, the XLR sockets can be connected to a (powered) speaker cabinet, and the 1/4” sockets can connect to something else, for example - a mixing board. Helix Native is a software plug-in that runs inside a DAW on your computer. It doesn’t have any physical XLR, or 1/4” jack sockets. It is designed record and playback audio from your hardware unit, or any other audio interface, via USB. Inside Helix Native all routing is virtual, and blocks such as Send/Return, XLR & 1/4” outputs do not exist. Hope this helps/makes sense. As with all blocks, inserting a MONO version will collapse everything to mono, inserting a STEREO version will keep things stereo. Insert > Send Return > MONO This shows what you are describing... Send 1, 2, 3, 4, Return 1, 2, 3, 4 and loop 1, 2, 3, 4 What you want is.... Insert > Send Return > STEREO This shows Send 1/2, Send 3/4, Return 1/2, Return 3/4 and Loop 1/2, Loop 3/4
