pipelineaudio1
If you only plug send one out, will it sum to mono? If not, what can I do to be sure send 1 has both channels' information
silverhead
The physical outputs on Helix are labeled to indicate this. Outputs labeled L/Mono indicate that the signal is summed to mono if only that output in the stereo pair is used. Outputs that are not labeled as such carry only their side of the stereo signal. The manual clearly states that the Return blocks are mono. I expect the Send blocks are similar but I’m not sure. It may depend on whether you use a TS (mono) a or TRS (stereo) cable. To be sure it’s summed to mono you could place a mono FX block (e.g. Simple EQ) immediately before the Send block.

Physical Sends are TS on the full fat Helix and HXFX. For Stereo you use a STEREO FX Loop Block and two Send/Return jacks. On the HXS/HXSXL a TRS Send carries Send L on Tip and Send R on Ring. A STEREO FX Loop Block splits the signal L/R-Tip/Ring.
