Completed My Dream Rig - Dt25 Question

Recommended Posts

So I finally completed the Dream Rig today, which started with a JTV 59 last August, then a 500x in January and finally a DT25 eaier today.

I see that there is a firmware update available for the DT25, my question is, do I need it if I'm using the HD500? If so what do I need to do the actual update? I've got the little box thing that came with the JTV to connect to the PC can I use that or do I need something else?

Thanks

Thanks.

Still not sure if it gives me anything I don't already have with the HD500 though :)

So am I right in thinking a Midi-USB cable would be all I need to do the update?

No, you don't need to update the DT's firmware if you're using it with the 500.  Yes, Midi-USB should allow you to do it (although I never managed to with my Midi-USB cable).

Thanks Wicket_Man, that's good to know.

I don't think I'll bother updating then, as I'm unlikely to ever need to use the DT25 without the pod.

there are some L6LINK updates in the DT update that may affect dream rig use as well as some of the amp defaults have been corrected.

it's worth doing if you have the midi cables anyway.

What are the L6 link updates?  I have had issues with not being able to store my L3t speaker mode when connected after the DT in the L6 link chain.  Wonder whether this will fix the issue?

I'm not aware of the specifics when it comes to stagesource integration, but update and try it... nothing to lose.
