indyj_son
Hey There, I recently acquired a DT25 head. I am trying to tweak my sound and would like some suggestions. I plan on using it as a standalone head, not with any other Line 6 products. The #4 setting is too heavy for my but the #3 needs a bit more OD/bite. My target sound is something like a "brown sound" that is heavy but clear with sustain when the guitar volume is maxed but cleans up and when the volume is rolled down. I am thinking some kind of OD or boost my help me get there but I am not very versed in pedals. If anyone has any ideas float them my way. Thanks! psarkissian
You do have a speaker plugged into the correct output for the speaker load?
calischoolofrock
You should look for the program called "DTedit," it's a user-created app for a PC or Mac that will allow you to have access to ALL HD500X amp models in your DT25. You can make Channel A 1-4 and Channel B 1-4 into 8 different amp models to use. You'll just need a usb-midi interface device for your computer. It's a bit buggy, but it is absolutely necessary if you want to really tweak your amps, control the boost, and turn off speaker emulation if that's something you want to do as well. Keep in mind, though, that no matter what amp etc. you assign to a given voicing, the knobs on the amp are WYSIWYG, so you'll have to find that happy place that works for all of your voicings under each channel.
